As I have already said, we will be having Thanksgiving dinner with another family, but later that evening and on Friday, we are planning a dinner of own.
Since Riley has asked for Fried Chicken and somehow mashed potatoes has made it on the menu too. Sk8erChick was making the list, uhm....wonder if she has anything to do w/it. We will have a late meal of Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, and Corn on the Cob. On Friday, we will actually have our home dinner ~ which probably will be invaded by the neighborhood children sometime that day.
Here's our menu ~ most everything is made from scratch:
Brunch Pancakes or Waffles Bacon Fried Apples Biscuits Juice, Coffee or Tea
Dinner Stuffed Turkey w/cornbread stuffing (w/extra on the side) Gravy Baked Honey Ham Mixed Greens - collar/kale/mustard Macaroni & Cheese - 1 w/3 types of cheese and 1 w/3 kinds of cheddar Candied Yams Potato Salad Cranberry Sauce (canned) Corn Casserole *new item added last year ~ Sk8erChick makes Fresh Bread & Rolls Sweet Potato Pie Chocolate Cream Pie Chocolate Yellow Cake Chocolate Chip Cookies *new item added last year ~ Riley makes Vanilla Ice Cream (Breyers) Iced Tea, Cranberry Cocktails and Coffee
I'm getting hungry, so I'm going to go now and fix me something to eat.
