Evening/Sunday Reading A & B ~ Mere Christianity; Biography ~ John Wesley Writing A & B ~ Mrs. Bridges Handwriting Lessons - practice pages 1-3; 2 perfectly written lines everyday. Choose and transcribe favorite passages from Shakespeare or Poetry weekly. Dictation A & B ~ 2 paragraphs to be prepared carefully each week; then a paragraph from these to be written from dictation or memory. Use Poetry Selections. English Grammar A & B ~ Simply Grammar - selected chapters; To be able to pick out nouns, verbs, and adjectives in a given paragraph and to analyze simple sentences. American History A & B ~ This Country of Ours - Chapters 29 - 63 (1600 - 1800), or An Island Story - Chapters 65 - 95, 9 narrations; Biography ~ Ben Franklin: A - tbd; B - Poor Richard Church History A & B ~ The Light and the Glory - selected chapters, 9 narrations World History A & B ~ Childs History of England Chapters 33 - 37, 9 narrations General History A & B ~ British Museum for Children - Chapter 7.
