Sow....a Destiny

We are in tough times where we are bombarded almost everywhere we turn with the world's immorality and craziness. I was inspired to read about the Duggar Family recently and the praiseworthy statements they are demonstrating with their large family, Christian lifestyle. There is hope to grab on to. It is so important to instill character and model a life of integrity. As Ghandi said, we should "be the change we want to see in the world."

I was pondering this favorite quote recently - a small but significant ideation:

"Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny."

Which relates well with this biblical favorite:

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Phillippians 4:8

Nov. 8, 2008 - Wonderful Reading

It is so great to see you here, obviously, you are figuring out homeschoolblogger without too much trouble. :-) I know these are entries you popped in, but you have a fantastic selection. I loved "Ignite the Fire" by Terri Camp as well, what an inspiration. I enjoyed your list of good reading.

I agree, the Duggars are presenting a positive lifestyle, I love watching their family, they make it all look so easy. I wish! We are striving to trust God in all that we do, it is nice to have some role models.

And you are a fellow scrapbooker! Fantastic. We've devoted an entire room to the craft, it is so incredible to combine it with homeschooling projects. It's been too long since I attended a full day event, but the room here at home allows us to spread everything out and keep projects going nonstop, which I love.

Keep up, I'd love to hear how things are going from time to time. I hope you don't mind, I'm adding you as a friend so I can check in on you easily. HUGS!
