Defective Compositions

Nov. 1, 2006 - Another Poem

This is a poem that I wrote last Easter.  I didn't think I had finished it, but when I showed it to Mommy, she liked it very much and asked me to put it on my blog, so here it is.

A hush fell over the throng,
two men were led into sight.
One man mean and evil,
the other a symbol of light.

A man stood in a room that was full,
of people whose eyes were accusing.
Pilate who thought that he had the choice,
the Lord was doing the choosing.

Exchanged for a man who was wicked,
Jesus was sentenced to die.
The many people who loved him so,
could just stand there and softly cry.

He was mocked by the soldiers of Rome.
They cast lots for the clothes on his back.
He was gouged by a spear and nailed to a cross,
to make up for the goodness we lack.

By dying a hard and painful death,
He had the world's burden of sin on his shoulders,
and because he died, I was saved by grace,
and He will help me to lift life's boulders!

For me he died,
He died for me,
because he died,
I now live free!

What a wonderful poem. You have a gift of expressing yourself through beauty. Thank God for that gift, and don't be afraid to use it to bless others.

Nov. 6, 2006 - The voice of God

Posted by Deeonly1

It is great to see how God speaks to us through so many ways. Your mom has a gift and so do you. They are different but both can be a voice from God.
Thank you for sharing and allow God to develop this gift. If you don't have a notebook that you carry get one and use it to write down the things that come to mind. Rememeber He speaks to us in a still small voice at times so take the time to capture them so you can go back and refer to them later.
