Jul. 3, 2008 - Rosa of Linden Castle ~ Chapters 4-6
Arrg! While trying to post this just a few minutes ago, I accidentally clicked a button, and lost the whole thing. Since time is short, I will only post a tiny thought.
I loved what Gertrude said near the end of the sixth chapter, and really, it was the biggest thing that stuck out to me. She told Rosa, "When your father built this house for us, he little thought he was preparing a home for you; yet so mysterious and gracious are the ways of Providence, that he causes our acts of kindness to others, in many cases, to be the very means of blessing us in turn. Yes, yes, that passage of Scripture, 'He that watereth shall himself be watered,' is true in more than one sense."

That book sounds super interesting, I would read it if I had more time. Work + getting ready for school is eating all my time this summer.

of my favorite parts too! It is amazing how God will lead through a place and we dont even realize it, but when we are in a different that needs something from the other place, we see it so clearly!
And yes, it is so awesome the way my family and friends have given so much for me and given me such great encouragement!
Love,
Amanda

Oh! I love that book! :-)
About the "My Uncle's treasure is my junk"... Yes, there were tons of cool things. There was also... nasty stuff. I mean, they would make you sick if I mentioned them (which is why I didn't).
I thought about you when we were getting ready to go down, but I knew we wouldn't have time to visit anyone. Where in Washington did you go?
