Feb. 23, 2009 - The Sad, Sad Reason for the Aches

For the past two days I wince nearly every time I get up or sit down.  The reason?  Let's see if this explains it.

Bluejane and I were recently invited to a birthday party for one of our friends, where we played three games of Capture the Flag.  It was a lot of fun.  My team won all three games, but I don't think it was because of anything that I did.  We also played tag, but the area we played in was so large, that the best strategy was to hide, and hope that the people who were "It" didn't find you.  I was one of the last people to be found.

We had a lot of fun, and talked about it quite a bit that evening, but the next morning, I discovered that my legs and back ached like crazy!  It was, and still is, painful to sit down, or stand up, because of it.

As a result of both the game, and the aches, Bluejane and I have decided that we definitely need to start exercising.  It is ridiculous how much out of shape I am.  I can't even run very far without getting out of breath. We are going to try to start running every day.

It would be helpful if it would stop raining, though!

Feb. 25, 2009 - walking

Posted by vintagegirl

That sounds a lot like me . . . I am working on getting in better shape, too. We are not a sporty family so we don't do a whole lot of exercise in that way, but we are getting into walking on the treadmill. I have found walking very enjoyable, usually when I'm finishing up I get the urge to just keep going because I don't want to stop (unlike when I first get on). :)

I too need to exercise more. But right now it is so cold here that I have no motivation. I detest the cold! But I really must start getting into better shape.

Oh, I know what you mean. I am really out of shape, too, especially since I quit taking ballet. It's so pathetic... I really need to get back into the exercising habit!
Hope you all have a good weekend (and your sore muscles get better!)
God bless,
Ashley

Awww, you poor thing. I need to exercise more, too. We have a treadmill, and I, no excuse.

That little sweater there is too cute! Don't tell me you made it!

RYC: Yes, I wondered as well - how do we inspire? It would make a good topic to think and post about.

Fondly,
-Breezy
