Jan. 17, 2006 - The Ups and Downs of Writing
My Mother can literally write about anything. I mean anything. She just wrote an entire blog entry on toes.
She has written a total of 58 entrys, and I have 26. Now I haven't written almost every day(like my Mother), but that is partly due to my lack of inspiration. Most of the time I can't think of anything to write about so I don't write at all.
Occasionally I have bursts of wonderful, amazing, ideas, and than I promptly forget about them. Aaaargh!
Despite this unfourtunate habit, I have several visions of books I want to write dancing in my head. I just need to get a move on with the one I am currently writing.
Another of my problems is I am afraid to show what I have written(story wise)to even my family. I'm worried that they won't like it, and I don't take critisim well. I know, I know, not the best beginnings for a famous authoress.
Definatly some things I need to work on, taking inspiration from everything around me, feeling confidant about the stories I write, and taking critisim as a way to improve.
Now take a look at that! I just wrote an entire entry on how I can't think of anything to write! Besides, say I decide to write about the computer mouse. You never know how that might wind up.
