Jul. 15, 2009 - The End is Near
I think to myself: "Never again do I want to have so much stuff. Never again do I want to leave the furniture in one spot for four years. Never again do I want to have a yard sale trying to sell all of our stuff. Never again do I want to pack all of my stuff away for who knows how long."
I feel this way right now, but in truth, we are almost done. The house is almost empty and we have started cleaning it. The rooms we have cleaned look pretty good, but it is only about a third of the house.
We have pretty much completed our transfer of residence from a double-wide manufactured home into a class C motorhome. We are still working out ways we can utilize every space, and make things easier for everyone all around.
One of the awesome things that we got, is a wireless network...thing. I really don't understand it, so forgive me if I say something silly. It is about the size of a business card, only a little thicker. We can get online anywhere there is cell phone service. That means we can be driving down the road, and blogging at the same time!
Not that we need to blog while we are on the go, but Mommy does have to work, and this way we won't have to use the RV park internet, which usually stinks.
So, keep checking back here, because I plan on posting about our two week adventure to Kentucky! We will be starting fairly soon. I am so excited! I have my camera, and I plan to use it. Watch out Kentucky, here we come!

I'm glad to hear your packing and moving is winding down... I know that's a relief. Praying for patience and safety as you all finish up and head for Kentucky! You're right, it's not too far from TN.. that would be fun if we could meet one day!
I posted an entry and photos about my week at camp, if you're interested in seeing them!
God bless,
Ashley

I think Kentucky is so beautiful. I've never had to move before so I can't imagine what it would be like packing up all my belongings but I'll be praying for you.

You are moving?! I've been gone too long! I just got back from two amazing weeks of touring Boston and Washington D.C.! I hope all your packing finishes up well.

Oh, I know exactly what you are talking about for the internet service -- at least I've heard of it. We had a guest in our house once who had that. Pretty cool! Of course, we have absolutely no need for it here, in our house (we have wireless anyway), and we don't have a laptop, but if we did, and if we traveled a lot... *grin*
And I can also agree with you about having too much stuff. I mean, we aren't even trying to move, and we have so much stuff it's just everywhere. But you know how it is -- until we're forced to give some of it up, we will probably just keep collecting.

I must admit that I do feel the winds of moving, however I enjoy the move. It must be from the countless times we moved when I was a child. (It must also be the reason why I insist on rearranging the furniture every so often:) I also like to sit in a car while on a road trip.
I pray your transition is smooth, and I hear Kentucky is beautiful. We're not too far from there ourselves:)
Have a Great Day!
