Defective Compositions

Jul. 25, 2009 - An Oregonian in Utah

Well, we are officially on our way.  We spent one night in with some friends in Prairie City Oregon, and then moved on to Mountain Home, Idaho.

We got to see a lamb, a pony, and ten darling puppies!
After two nights with our beloved family, we headed south to Utah.  Once we crossed the border and drove for a while, we stopped at the ATK Rocket Display.  It was pretty cool, more so after watching the movie, Apollo 13.

And almost next door to the Rocket Display was the Golden Spike Historical Marker.  There was a museum type of thing, but it was closed when we got there, so all we got to see was the outside, but it was still neat to see the monument.  This place was where the last spike was driven in the transcontinental railroad of the United States.
Tomorrow, we are heading back up to Wyoming, and then, we might head back down to Colorado.  We are all pretty tired, and sometimes a little short with each other, but I think we are all really enjoying it!

It sounds like you are having a great adventure. I am looking forward to more posts about it as you can. When everyone gets tired and a little grumpy, just smile and know that the Lord has put you altogether to grow you into who He wants you to be. Remember to serve each other with gladness. That is easier said than done, isn't it? But then remember "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
Persevere!

The pictures of the animals are so cute!
I love the lamb photo the most. (I'm pretty much partial to anything about sheep.)

Sounds like you are actually getting to do a bit of sight-seeing while on your way to Kentucky.
I also like the map you posted, that shows the states where you have already been.

Hope you have a great trip.
