Aug. 10, 2009 - Young Maiden's Daybook ~ August 10

August 10, 2009
Outside my window…
An RV park that fills up pretty quickly at night, and then empties not so quickly the next morning.
I am thinking…
That it is kind of weird to have Daddy be at work for the first time in 10 months. Praise the Lord!
I am thankful for…
Daddy finally getting a job, and a roof to cover our heads even if it is a small one.
I am wearing…
A pair of Wranglers Jeans, and an old Goat 4-H shirt. Comfy!
I am reading…
Harmony at Home ~ Tim Fisher
Gone With the Wind ~ Margaret Mitchell
I am creating…
A crocheted sun hat. Everything else has been packed into storage!
One of my favorite things…
Getting to see lightning bugs for the first time in my life!
For education this week…
Not sure, but I'm sure I'll learn something!
A keeper at home skill I am using/learning …
Being economic with space.
A spiritual lesson I’m learning…
That God is in control no matter what, and I am not.
A godly character trait I plan to work on…
Contentment, and Cheerfulness
Scripture I am memorizing…
Romans 12
I am praying for…
Our house in Oregon to sell. Do you want to buy a house?

For the rest of the week…
Settling into a normal routine.
A picture I’d like to share…
This is a castle that is near where we live in Kentucky. It is kind of strange to be driving along, and see...a castle! If you would like to participate in A Young Maiden's Daybook, then you can check out Firmly Fixed on the Father.

The infamous castle! It's absolutely beautiful, however, a couple years ago the inside of it burned down. The castle was built by hand for a man's wife and what you cannot see from the road is the 6 bedroom house in the middle of it...well, the house that was there. I'm not sure now what dwelling is in the middle of it...if anything. Beautiful area of KY.

Eyebright,
Wow, that castle is so neat! Who would have thought a castle is just right there in Kentucky... It looks more like you're in England or Scotland.
I'm going to add you to my friends list, by the way.
Hope you are having a great week!
