Defective Compositions

Mar. 11, 2006 - Poetry Contest

Drrrrrrumm Rolllll Please!  Today starts the NOT annual, biannual, quarterly, or weekly Poetry Contest!

That reminds me, why don't you go check out the Contenders blog?  There have been some really cool debates.

Back to the contest.

The Rules

1.  Poems must be about the chosen subject, which happens to be CATS.(The wonderful creatures!)

2.  The winning submission will be chosen by me.  The only prize is the knowledge that you had the Chosen Poem!

3.  Anyone who can read, write, or sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider can participate.

The Chosen Poem will be picked by next Saturday, so everyone get writing!

The Cat

Her pure Amber eyes,

Snap and flare.

Her solid golden coat,

Shines to a glare.

She is proud.

She is strong.

She is lovely,

She does no wrong.

She can climb,

Mountains forever.

Just as long,

As you, never leave her.

See the cat?

See her shine?

She will be,

Forever mine.

too late to enter?

The cats green eyes
Were all but bad
Their keen and sharp
Their all she had
Their deep, deep gaze
Their stunning look
Always caught your daze
