Mar. 6, 2008 - Dish Carnival Along with Show & Tell Friday
Since I didn't get this posted until late last night, I'm going to use this for my first Show& Tell Friday post also. I hope that's okay (I just don't have the brain power to come up with something else clever today
.) So come join me at CanadaGirl and join in the fun there also.
Today, Shannon over at Rocks in my Dryer, is hosting a Spur-Of-The-Minute Dish Carnival. I thought this could be fun-so I'm joining in. After all, not that many people see our dishes. It comes with being so far from family, moving so often, and trying to make new friends to invite over-just in time to move again-oh well. Now all of you two people (who have probably already seen said dishes) will have the pleasure of seeing them today (again). Without further ado, please let me introduce the Fleming Dishware...

Well, thanks for dropping by. Stop over for a meal sometime-I've got plenty of dishes.

Wow! They are very similar! It's not the same thing, though. My china is Johnson Brothers, Baroda pattern.

What beautiful dishes! I especially love the old ones -just something about the antique china that makes it seem even more special.

Oh, those are pretty pieces. My china sits above the refrigerator....can't wait to pawn it off on my DD, who wants it. My mother said all well-brought-up girls get china and silverware before they're married, so I did it. But I'm not that kind of gal. Give me paper plates or a Laura Ingalls little plate and cup of my own, and I'm content. LOL

That is a great Carnival and a great show and tell. I am glad you did do it for both, I think the especial ones would make great EVERYDAY dishes!

I love the china - very pretty! Our everyday dishes are Lenox Casual Elegance and I am bored with them. So many pieces have broken over the years - we are down to just one cereal bowl in that pattern! I would love to replace them, but can't justify the expense right now.

Oh you poor thing...Michigan winter is way too long (that's how I feel about Indy too) .
Your dishes are beautiful! The plastic Target dishes are very nice and Spring like.
Blessings from Indiana,

Very pretty! I would have had to show my vintage Tupperware collection--vintage because we've had it a loooong time. Just yesterday my big mixing bowl with lid (circa 1985) finally wore through the burn mark from where I sat it on a hot burner on the stove. Leaked all over the counter (soapy water, fortunately), but I still had a pang when I threw it away. :) Thanks for your comment on my homeschool petition/icy wetland photo blog.
