A Peculiar People

Mar. 31, 2008 - Menu Plan Week of March 31

Posted in March 2008

Here's my menu plan for the week, I'm trying to figure out calorie counts on these.  I'd like to see the scale start going down .  It's interesting, you cut out the processed, junk food and switch to making everything from scratch, but then you can't look at a package and see the calorie count.  Oh well-baby steps!  For more great menu ideas join me over at Laura's forMenu Plan Monday with I'm an Organizing Junkie.

Mar. 24, 2008 - Pond Environment Experiment

Posted in March 2008

I’d like to take a few moments to share with you about one of our latest homeschool acquisitions.  Aunt Peggy sent the kids a late Christmas present and it has been put to good use, the funds were allocated for our Pond Environment Experiment.

Jason has eagerly been awaiting this study and has been making plans for months.  So when the opportunity financial grant presented itself, he was giddy with anticipation.  He researched and he read.  He made lists and mental notes.  He price compared and he shopped…a lot.  He’s as giddy as a kid in a candy shop…or should I say-as excited as a scientist in a science supply store.

He has big plans for this study, and he is fully embracing the hands-on learning style.  You go my big, mad, smart scientist!  You rock!
