We woke this morning feeling iffy at best. We have been passing around illnesses between mine and my best friends families. I believe in sharing but enough is enough! We had to take the kids to he dentist. The girls did fabulous and had some major work done with no screaming or tears. It was awesome. Thier teeth look FANTASTIC! Now on to my poor little boy. He had some teeth that needed to be worked on. They filled 2 no prob. The dentist said he needed to pull a tooth. Unfortuunately I consented and I feel HORRIBLE. He actually pulled 2 teeth. I don't understand why they got pulled. My dd's tooth was MUCH worse and they did a double sided filling with NO problem. I'm so sad for my poor boy. I know they are baby teeth but still! I should have insisted on another opinion. There are 3 other dentists in that practice that work on the kids. He is actually sleeping now but my mommy heart still aches for him. ![]() |

It started out pretty well. The kids gave them the presents we made them. A collage frame with drawings and pictures of/from the kids, a book from Velcro, a doggy card from Shadow and the printouts about thier Papa. Which by the way are hilarious. I will post thier answers later. We played some games, ate breakfast and got a call from my mom saying she was going to come over. We started to pick up the house when the power went out. My dh was convinced that the air conditioner that I had just put in the window had done it. I doubt that 3700 people were out of power because of our air conditioner. This was at 1pm, they said by 4pm it would be back on. Well, it was 100 degrees and 97% humidty, so we packed up to head to the beach. By the time we got almost there it started to rain, so we turned around and ran through the local parks sprinklers. We got home after 5 and still no power, I calle again and they said by 7pm...so we played outside on the porch. By 7:15 I called again and they said by 9pm. I was fuming mad and super HOT. As I was griping at 7:17 power was restored! YEAH! POWER!

I'm thinking it is best for Sarina to wait another year before we officially start "school" Why do I think this?? I'm not sure if it is because she is resistant and I don't want to deal with it, or if she truly isn't ready. I don't want to hold her back and have her be behind her peers. I'm not sure what to do..... Her speech teach is pushing for me to start in the fall. She says she is definetly ready. She will be going to the PS every day 30 min a day for speech services. They are INSISTING on a group setting so she has social interaction with peers. Like I keep her in a bubble..... I'm against a group setting as I don't think she will progress as well in that setting as she would 1 on 1. She is so far behind that she really needs the focus on her. We shall see how that pans out. I think I just need to relax and make things more fun. She does really well when it is fun. Who doesn't?? I like things much better when they aren't a drag. |
