Father's Day
It started out pretty well.  The kids gave them the presents we made them.  A collage frame with drawings and pictures of/from the kids, a book from Velcro, a doggy card from Shadow and the printouts about thier Papa.  Which by the way are hilarious.  I will post thier answers later.  We played some games, ate breakfast and got a call from my mom saying she was going to come over.  We started to pick up the house when the power went out.  My dh was convinced that the air conditioner that I had just put in the window had done it.  I doubt that 3700 people were out of power because of our air conditioner.  This was at 1pm, they said by 4pm it would be back on.  Well, it was 100 degrees and 97% humidty, so we packed up to head to the beach.  By the time we got almost there it started to rain, so we turned around and ran through the local parks sprinklers.  We got home after 5 and still no power, I calle again and they said by 7pm...so we played outside on the porch.  By 7:15 I called again and they said by 9pm.  I was fuming mad and super HOT.  As I was griping at 7:17 power was restored!  YEAH! POWER!

No air... well at least you had a bit of a respite at the beach and park. On the plus side the power restored 1 hour and 43 minutes sooner than the last estimate they gave you. :o)

Enjoy a much COOLER summer.

Blessings,
Theresa
