Ok, the news came yesterday afternoon in the form of an e-mail.

Dear Mr. Williams:

We are please to offer you a Nuclear Reactor Controller position with the Research Reactors Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.......

This is going to be a life changing career switch in many ways. I won't be able to surf the internet nearly as much (or write blogs at work). I won't be able to assist all you wonderful people with your automotive repair needs. I will, however, have a job that can be a career (complete with advancement and educational opportunities, retirement, and 401k.)

I will also be able to put the training I recieved in the Navy to good use.

Let's all go out and celebrate. =)
