One of my Mom's stories

Well, now I'm going to tell you one of my Mother's stories today. Only part of it though. Don't ask me if it's real or not, I don't know. Well, here goes.

13 year old Nati was finally allowed to sleep on the trampoline. She had been so excited earlier, and now she wanted to be inside her own comfortable bed. Nati pushed her head harder on her pillow that had a blue pillow case, and held on tighter to her blue sleeping bag. She shivered, crawled inside her sleeping bag, zipped it up, and held the opening closed. The inside of the sleeping bag was red, and warmer, and so she took the time to relax, curl up in a ball, and fall asleep.

* * *

Nati was sitting cross legged on a hill, her long black hair covered her tanned right shoulder, and her dark brown eyes that were so dark they were almost black, were full of curiosity. It was grassy, and she guessed she was in a forest, because there were a lot of trees. She looked around and saw mountains in the distance to her right. The big, round, double moons shone high in the sky, like mirrors reflecting the suns. Then she saw movement in the corner of her eye. She turned to face it, and saw about five weird looking snakes in the distance. But they towered about seven feet tall, were super skinny, and had the skin of an earth snake that she read about. And when they got closer, Nati noticed that they had no legs, six arms, were carrying spear-type things, and were moving about twenty miles an hour. Nati started running, her fear guiding her. She stopped in a clearing, realizing that the sound died away a while ago. A girl was sitting on a rock not far away. She looked about Nati’s size; three ft, ten in. She had a blue-green dress at the top part; she had a white sash around her waist, and blue diamonds hanging from it, and a sword on her right.  At the bottom of the dress, it lightened, and had gold patterns. She had a white ribbon around her arm, and a necklace. The chain was silver, and there was a light ruby on the necklace. She looked shocked, and Nati could tell that she was playing the lyre in her  right hand a little bit ago. At the tip of her large, dove-like wings it was light blue, and the rest was white.

“Who are you?” Nati asked.

“I’m Leilani, daughter of Sasha,” she began. “Daughter of Kora, daughter of Mercy, daughter of Mimi, daughter of—“

“Whoa, you can stop there,” Nati cut in. “Just so you know, I’m Nati.” Leilani stood up, surprised.

“Daughter of…”

“Daughter of Marta,” Nati said. Leilani gave a sigh of disappointment, sat back down, and started playing a song that sounded vaguely familiar to Nati. Nati was about to ask: ‘Did you make that song up?’ But instead she gasped because she thought she saw a glowing person in the forest on her right watching them. Leilani immediately stopped playing, and pulled out her sword, and she saw that Leilani was left-handed, unlike her.

“What is it, Nati?” She asked.

“Over there,” Nati pointed. “That man, watching us,”

“Oh,” Leilani said, putting her sword away. “That’s just Al, Nati, a friend of mine.”

“Alvar,” Al corrected, upset.

“Right, Alvar, sorry,” Leilani said. Alvar stepped out from the trees. Nati closed her eyes because it was suddenly bright.

“Alvar, will you please turn off that light? Nati can’t see.” Nati heard Leilani say.

“I’m sorry, I can’t turn off the light, but I can make it dimmer. You should know that by now.” Nati heard Alvar say.

“Yeah, yeah, just dim it, ok?” Leilani said. Then Nati felt someone touch her.

“Princess Nati, you can open your eyes now. It’s ok.” Nati heard Alvar say, and Nati opened her eyes. Alvar had a small bright moustache, bright blue eyes, light white, glowing skin, and bright blonde hair, almost white. He made Nati look like a black something, because Nati had such a nice tan.

“Umm… not trying to be rude, or anything, but,” Leilani said to Alvar, “What are you doing here?”

“I’ve been assigned to keep Princess Nati safe,” Alvar said. “By King Sakima himself.”

“You?” Leilani sounded shocked. “Why did the King get you? If he would get anybody, it would be my Dad.”

“Because,” Alvar began, “I’m the son of a wise old man that the King knew since he was nineteen. He trusts me.” Leilani bit her lip.

“Why isn’t she in the palace, where she belongs?” Leilani asked, and sat by Alvar, suddenly interested.

“Because the King didn’t want his daughter to be stolen again.” Alvar said simply, sitting down as well. Nati got on her knees, and sat in the bushes, hoping to be forgotten.

Tell me what you think of it, if you don't like it, I won't do more, if you like it, I will. You may have a lot of questions. If I don't continue, PM me, and I'll answer you anyway I can.
