~Tried and True Tuesday~
This is the BEST meatloaf. I wish I had a picture of it, I don't have it on the menu this week. It is from a doctor that I work with, his wife came up with it in her teenage years.
MEAT LOAF
1 medium onion
1-2 cloves garlic
1 egg
1-1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup bread crumbs
3-4 slices of white bread, crumbled
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
dash of Italian seasoning
dash of worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degress. Grease a loaf pan, chop onions and garlic very fine. Beat eggs slightly. Combine meat with all of the above ingredients, mix well. Pack into laof pan. Sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese on top. Bake 1-1 1/4 hours. I baked mine covered for the first hour. I also used 1 pound of hamburger and 1 pound of ground pork, because I needed to use up the pork. It was delicious.

I think whenever you add Worchestire (sp) sauce to anything,e specially meat, it turns out good.
My princess made homemade Mac and cheese the other day and she added worchestsire sauce and it was delicious.

YUM!!! It's so funny ;) This recipe is almost identical to the one that I make other than I have never added parmesean cheese. Hmmm...going to have to try that next time.

Mmmmm... that seems really yummy. I have to make meatloaf a "special" way, but then I have to do that with most things. I can't even use GFCF bread crumbs because my Little Guy can't tolerate those ingredients either. But it seems to come out okay & everyone really loves meatloaf here - & there are usually leftovers!

I will have to try this recipe. I used to use my Grandma's recipe, but my husband doesn't care for it. He likes his mom's better. Uh, his mom doesn't ever use a recipe and I doubt she has ever made two meatloafs exactly the same.
Oh... I still don't know who I am voting for. Our caucus is February 5, so I am still reading and studying.

The meatloaf recipe looks really good.
I will definitely keep praying for Huckabee.
It sounds like your homeschool year is going really well---it was fun to get over to your blog.

We have the same recipe except I use onion soup mix and oatmeal instead of reg. onion and bread crumbs. You are making me hungry!
