~One Down-Three to Go~
Each May our activities one by one come to a close, last night it was Awanas.
Poor Grace almost didn't make it to the award event. One and a half hours earlier we were at the doctor's office for her ear infection. She is beginning to feel better and was a trooper throughout the evening.
Awana's has been a good for the Liz & Grace this year. It remains a challenge for me to gently encourage Liz without becoming a nag. We both agree that next year we will remain diligent during the winter months and not slack off.
Our three events left are a band concert and two dance recitals.

Ahhhh... we have our AWANA award night in two weeks. I'm so excited! I have TWO getting their awards. Such great photos!!!

I was in Awana's when I was a child.
I hate to see the structure of the "school" schedule ending. Our Sunday school ends next week. Soon Marissa's Wednesday night youth activities will shut down for the summer too. These things add structure to our lifes ~ an important thing when our school year is not quite done. We probably still have 6 weeks left. (The curriculum had a 1-year and 2-year schedule. Marissa wanted to do the 1-year schedule and I am dumb so I said, "Sure.")
