Wow! IT IS HOT HERE in KANSAS!  Life here on the home front has NOT been boring!  Oh were do I start. Have you ever had a moment when you sit back,stretch and say "WOW! Life is going really well, we're doing great!" That is just what dear hubby and I did on Wednesday. Then Thursday night we had a TERRIBLE thunderstorm roll in and for some ODD reason I could not sleep so I stayed up and read. Around midnight I headed to bed and I happen to look over at the couch as I turned off the light and I noticed a drip from the ceiling. OH NO! I ran up stairs and woke dh up at midnight ( he has to be up for work at 3:30 am), he climbed up into the attic....long story short is we CAN NOT find the leak. UG!  Then Friday on the way home from the children's swim practice the "CHECK ENGINE" light came on in our car. SO when I got home I had to tell DH about the car. His response to me was PLEASE don't speak to me again UNLESS you have positive news. As he walks outside to look at the car he is laughing. As for the car....... the light DID NOT come on for him all weekend when he drove it! AAAARRRRRR! Oh and the ac went out in the car too!Well, so much for ....WOW everything is going well. It really is going well it's just a MAJOR set back for us as far as the goals we have set for ourselves!

Oh, my are you speakin my language now, girl!! LOL!
We have been dealing with the same kind of thing around here, too. We have been trying to incorporate the Dave Ramsey stuff, and things were going completely perfect.
Then it alllllllll hit...WHAM...floors needed replaced because AC was leaking due to a bad coil (very expensive), the van's AC freaked out right at the same time, the front glass door broke, the plumbing went beserk....I can go on, but I will spare ya.
Hopefully things will straighten up for all of us soon and we can resume our blissful existence....

I totally understand how that goes! Just when we think all is well something like that happens, I don't know maybe its the Lord keeping us humble ;O)

That sounds like a really good idea about using the Christmas money for a family trip. I think my family did that once when I was younger, but I also think my dad ended up getting us presents also because that is just how he is, we like giving others gifts its a lot of fun.
Well stay safe there in Kansas, hope you can find/or have found the cause of the leak.
We lost our airconditioning in our car also and the windsheild wiper motor doesn't work either on top of the driver side window doesn't open... But praise the Lord we still have a running car. Life is funny sometimes but hopefully we can look back on it and just laugh. Have a wonderful day!
