Fantasy Musings...

Tagged by my lovely dryad friend Svenja...

As you can see, I've been tagged by Svenja, so let us begin the tag...

The Author Tag

Do you have a pen/pencil collection? How many of those are chewed? I don't exactly have a "pen/pencil collection" But I do have tons of pens/pencils lying around. And yes, some of them are slightly chewed.

Do you prefer handwriting or typing furiously? I prefer Typing furiously, my best writing comes when I'm typing.

How often do you get inspiration? Probably once or more a day...although I most likely end up forgetting that. Woe that blight in a writers life!

Are you blogging on a computer or laptop? A computer

Do you get inspiration more in the early morning or late at night? I would say both

Do certain movies/books/music inspire you? Not really, maybe LOTR...

How do you incorporate God into your stories? I usually rename Him and such, in one of my stories he was called "Dasl". But I always make him to be...well, God.

Do you kill of your villians or make the repent? I haven't finished my stories yet, but I probably would kill them off. They deserve to die.

Is the majority of your characters magical beings, humans or halflings? Or something else? The majority of my characters are Elves, Humans, Mer-folk, Dragons, Dwarves, sometimes dryads, spirits and my own races.

What genre of writing are you most comfortable in? If you were to step out of your comfort zone, what would you write? I am most comfortable with Fantasy, High Fantasy. If I had to step out of my comfort zone I would probably be writing an science article....*shudder*

Do you work better alone or with someone else? I work better when I'm alone, but plots and such spin out better with other fellow writers (My friends Rebekah & Hannah and I are writing a story and we got together one day to think of plots and characters, and in about a half hour we were jumping up and screaming because we had figured the plot out, the characters were made and it was in process! xD)

Do your stories make sense, or do they ramble wildly? My stories mostly make sense, but sometimes the reader will be like "Huh?"

Are your characters mostly Renengades, Peacekeepers or a mish-mash? A mish-mash. In a story that I'm writing with my bosom-friend Rebekah, the main-boy character, is slightly renegade; he's so much fun to write about!

Are you a sucker for good grammer? Um...sometimes. I always do like "spellcheck" with my stories and try to correct the grammer. And I have two books by my bed that are helpful with grammer ("Writers Inc" and "Painless Grammer")

How is your handwriting? I shall quote to explain how my handwriting is "Sloppy, Very Sloppy"-Aang from "Avatar: the Last Airbender" Book One: Chapter 16: The Deserter. My writing is a mish-mash of cursive and print and when I'm writing really fast my handwriting is not legible.

How evil are your villians? Evil...very evil.

Are you long-winded or succint? A mixture of both, though probably more long-winded. (*_*)

Do you have typical "writer" traits such as inkstains on your fingers or a pencil behind your ear? Well...my hands are usually stained with pen or pencil, BUT it's more likely to be from me when I'm in a drawing craze.

Would someone walking past you on the street consider you normal? I don't know, that's their decision. However, if I walked by myself on the street, I wouldn't consider myself to normal.

Do you write mostly poetry, stories, novels or a mixture? Definately a mixture. I write novels/stories mostly but I also enjoy writing poetry in my spare time.

Do your characters vary in accents, appearance and attitude or are they mostly the same? My characters differ immensely (sp?), Especially in appearance and manner.

Do real people and/or places inspire your writing? Sometimes, not always, it depends upon a lot of factors.

How many blogs/websites/haunts do you have? *counts fingers* Well, I have this blog, a story blog, a template blog; then on my old username, I have two template blogs and one main blog, then on a username I share with Rebekah I have a blog and a template blog. And then I'm doing Inklings...so In total I have nine blogs...but I shall be deleting about four as soon as the templates are done.

What is your favorite character? Or do you chose to remain unbiased in case of a revolt? I chose to remain unbiased, but I have secret favorites. I don't really have a favorite character, theres just aspects that I like in almost all of my characters

Do you talk to your characters? Do they talk back? No. But sometimes my characters will become unruly and will refuse to listen to what I am trying to have them do.

Are you more comfortable with girl or boy main characters? Well, I'm probably more comfortable with girl characters just because I am a girl. I don't mind writing about boy-main characters, in fact I enjoy itm but I'm just more comfortable with girls.

Do you follow basic overused plotlines with new twists thrown in or do you depart from the norm all the time? I depart from the Norm.

Do you feel God has called you to be a writer/poet? Will you grasp "the power of the pen"? Yes, I feel so. To be a writer/artist is my calling in life. And I shall grasp "THE POWER OF THE PEN!" *stands up on chair and shouts*

Well that was fun...I tag AuthorElf, EowynDernhelm & writer4him.
