Update: We still have our two remaining cats after faithfully searching for them and putting them inside every evening.
Not sure what to do with all these roosters as all three silkies are roosters, and two of the other hatchlings from last year are also roosters. Just what we didn't need. We gained three hens and an I don't know yet.
Since the weather has been so cold at night, we have been carting the 'bird' in every night and back out. I wish you could hear how loud he is when he hears us come home from an outing.
We had a day of worry for our mare, Sunny, as she was off her feet and acting strange, but with prayer and lots of walking and some feed restriction, she was okay, thankfully. Kiera made her a large hard circle treat which we hung by some twine from the overhanging tree in her pen. I didn't get to see her enjoy it.
We have been finding dead bees all over our property. This is not very encouraging.
We still see the occasional monarch butterfly.
Talk soon,
Michele
