Today has been "Preparation day!"....is that a movie or what!?!tee-hee........I think I might be losing it. It's all the heat in the kitchen!

I have cooked zee lamb and zee  2 chickens. Both gravys are in zee fridge. I have wrapped zee presents and now I am of zee very tired variety!!!! Thank Goodness Hubby has gone to get Fish-Aways!

But I am always up for a blog posting.........the life is coming back......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm........ alive!

We have just finished having our tennis court resurfaced and it is looking  really good! So I thought I would do a before and after post!

Firstly.......A BIG thank you for my Birthday wishes from all over the world! Thanks Aunty Bev (from Australia), I got your email! Boyd sends his love!

Secondly..... those prayers for the tummy bug helped......I had a vomitless Birthday, so thank you....but the next day I got it bad! I'm better now.

Thirdly..... I thought it was time for another Garden Reveal! Yes.......with summer now upon us, I am having fun in the garden! The flowers are a blooming and the birds a tweeting.... I love this time of year!

So here we go!

The 1st September heralds the beginning of Spring for us in the Southern Hemisphere. Temperatures are still quite cool, but there is evidence that Spring is just around the corner. Birds are getting busy and bursts of colourful flowers are here and there. My roses have beautiful burgandy shoots on them with bright green leaves! 

Hubby and I get a great amount of happiness from a colourful, well-manicured garden, so......... this month we decided to spend a little time and money on it!

As you may know, we bought a very unloved and neglected house and are attempting to make it a warm and inviting home!

SO...here are the before photos of the section of garden outside the Lounge and Dining Room.

Okay, so the plants are still rather SMALL!

And AFTER...... I incorporated Lavender and Jasmine so that the beautiful smells would waft into the house!

A couple more months and I think it will look beautiful!

Hi all...............

Well....I haven't done a post on the makeover of our house for a very long time......So I thought tonight would be perfect!

As you may or may not know......we bought a VERY unloved and neglected house at the beginning of the year. In 2 months we basically stripped it to it's shell, knocked through a few walls, put in a new kitchen, layed new flooring throughout and made it into a home. And along the way we had a great deal of fun!

So here is the Swimming Pool BEFORE............

And here it is AFTER we had to fibre glass it and install a new pump...............

We just can't wait for Summer in November when we will finally get to use it!!!!

As you may know, from past postings on my blog, we have been (and are still in the process of) renovating a REALLY unloved and quite frankly unkept, dirty ....I'd go as far as 'disease ridden' house. Okay I might be getting a bit carried away with the disease part...... but I kid you not , when we would go and visit the house in it's former state, I honestly would not let the kids sit on the carpet or touch the walls or windows!!!! The emphasise is definately on the EXTREME in 'Extreme Make-over'. But things are starting to take shape................... So I think I might reveal some more before and after photos!

Quite a difference, Hey? My Hubby and I love doing up houses............I've recently discovered that he has quite a flair for gardening!

I enjoy moving house.......I love a change, and the challenge that comes with making a house a home!

We have moved 7 times in 8 years and I have began to "get a hang of it!" We tend to remain in the same suburb. I think this makes it easier, as we still go to the same malls and childrens play areas and we get to see familiar faces.

BUT................. and a BIG BUT... this move has been the hardest.

Possibly because ...1:  I have an extremely active toddler.

                              2:  I am homeschooling now.

                              3:  I have 1 maid and not 2.

                              4:  I am 20 kgs overweight!

                              5:  As with any growing family ,we have a whole 

                                  lot more stuff!

So you can imagine.....mirrors still need to be hung, boxes unpacked blah,blah,blah.......

Now the reason I am telling you this is...............because I can't find my digital camera cord. Yes......and it is frustrating the hek out of me. I would love to share the photos of our new classroom and home.... but alas.....at the moment, it is not to be!

Changing subject radically............... We watched a brilliant movie last night called..."Flight Plan" with Jodie Foster. If you enjoy suspense thrillers this is a must.

Hooray, I found  the before and after photos of the kitchen at our new house! Quite a change-hey?
