| Nov. 22, 2005 Happy Thanksgiving! |
I just keep on learning and learning. Our Lord is so good! He is so amazing and loving! God is so longsuffering with us and merciful! He blesses me every day! Praise His Name! I am blessed to have a dh who is starting to back me with hsing! My 15 yr.old ds knows that if he can't mind his momma, that he has to deal with her hubby. Ever since we had "the talk" with the kids, and ever since I let God have His Way with me, things sure seem more pleasant! The days aren't perfect but, we are all constantly learning and constantly leaning on Jesus. With Sonlight Curr., there are bible study materials. My older dc thought that the sampler was lame and I had to agree. This is the only book we haven't liked with Sonlight. So, they each picked out a bible study to do on their own. My 14 dd was having devotions on her own but, now I believe my ds would have it on his own too. We are connecting when he learns something. Well, I think we are....I try to just listen-big step for mom. Baking days are a real big hit with my dc. My dd's work for days on their five days of school work, they double up on a subject each day-their choice so we can all bake together on Fridays . My ds prefers 5 day week and that is fine with me; that is one of the great things about hsing .The two oldest have started ps basketball practices...here comes the shuffle. We try to carpool with other families as much as possible-taking turns. There is one problem. I have woman's bible study on Tuesday nights and Family Bible Study with the non-denominational group on Friday nights. Guess when almost all of the high school home games are? Yup, you guessed it; Tuesday and Friday nights .
So, I'm trying to make sure my children know how important they are to
me.....not sure what I'm going to do, but the Lord has the right answer
and I will bring it to Him .Happy Thanksgiving and God bless ![]() |

What do you bake? I could get into making just cookies, but then I'd be as big as a pregnant walrus... |

So far, we are baking bread for the week and cookies. It's a learn-as-ya go kind of thing. This week is on Wednesday cuz of, you guessed it, Thanksgiving. Today, we are baking apple pie, pumpkin pie, and mincemeat...
TC, I am so blessed by your humor and your wit and your style of writing!! Thank you for sharing; it makes for a blessed few moments! |
