Hi Folks:
As some of you may or may not be aware, there has been a couple of changes this year in regards to the Broward County School Board opening its Textbook Warehouse (aka - Book Depository) up to the general public.
The biggest change is that the books are no longer free, but rather have a cost of $1.00 each (per book). Also, the warehouse only will accept cash or money orders - no checks or credit cards.
According to Jim Kane, Distribution Facilitator for the Textbook Warehouse, this year's current calendar* for the warehouse being open to the general public (Broward County residents) is:
September 13, 2006 (8:00AM - 3:15PM) November 8, 2006 (8:00AM - 3:15PM) January 10, 2007 (8:00AM - 3:15PM) March 14, 2007 (8:00AM - 3:15PM) May 9, 2007(8:00AM - 3:15PM)
* Note: As in previous year's, these date are subject to change.
Also, Jim let me know that if anyone calls him at 754-321-4350 he can let individuals schedule a time to come over to the warehouse on days other than the currently scheduled open-to-the-public dates.
The location of the Textbook Warehouse is 3901 NW 10th Avenue, Oakland Park, FL 33309 (a map is attached for your reference and convenience).
Sincerely,
