Introducing The Carnival of Home Preserving!
Taken from this post at Laura Williams' Musings (my other blog)

I searched and searched at Blog Carnival but did not find a carnival specifically geared toward Home Preserving Methods (canning, freezing, dehydrating, root cellaring).

Home Canning and a few of the others are becoming a dying lot of skills. Canning used to be a standard thing to do come harvest time with gardeners. Now the families are smaller for many people and thus their gardens have shrunk and home preserving skills is going by the wayside. It doesn't have to be that way.

So I decided to create my own carnival and invite others to join in.  I'll host the first one and will ask for volunteers to host future ones.

So pass the word around to your bloggy friends (feel free to link to this post) and let's get these old time skills revived!!

Carnival Info:  This is going to be A Carnival to Share Recipes and How-To's for Canning, Freezing, Dehydrating (drying), and Root Cellaring of  Fruits, Vegetables, and Herbs.
