A Busy Week

This past week was spent in another city, doing Pageant stuff.  2DD10 and I spent an entire 9 days running around.  We went to museums, took train rides, and just generally had some great learning opportunities.  It's amazing how much is out there to learn about when you aren't concentrating on assignments from school! 

On another note, I just need to vent a bit.  I am/was a director of a local pageant.  Now I am being bashed on a board for not supporting my girls.  Guess what?  As a new director, I expected some help from the state association, never got it.  I had 3 partners in this venture, all 3 bailed on me and left me with the bills.  All the emails from the state association went to one of the partners who bailed and got forwarded to me eventually.  I scheduled practices and sessions with my girls.  They always cancelled or didn't even show up!  I tried to advise them as to gowns, they went off and did their own thing. 

As I said, I am a former director.  I can't work with girls who won't give me the respect I deserve and listen to my suggestions regarding wardrobe, etc.  I feel that I was trying to do something good, now I get slapped in the face.  Oh well.  I have my kids and we are happy - that's all that matters!
