Day 3, or so . . . What's your type?

What's your body type? Have you measured and figured it out? "Understanding what your body type is can help you know what to focus on while doing each to the T-Tapp exercises so that they will best target your areas of concern." Fit and Fabulous p. 61

C'Mon - something fun to figure out! Once you do, you'll start mentally typing people when you see them, and you'll understand why it's easier for some to have a  flat tummy,  and other to have a slim hips.

Kerri - I am so proud of you I am bursting at the seams! One day at a time - keep going!

Ang - I'm really proud of you, too! Boy, late at night can be hard to workout (I know, I've done it!) - but you did it despite the clock. Good for you!

How's everyone else doing? Steph - seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Julie? Pennie? Kendra? Kimberly?

Can I say one word --- ooww!! I think I am trying harder this time to fully engage my muscles or maybe its "muscle memory" that is helping me work out better. Either way I have been surprised at the good soreness I am experiencing. I remember being sore the last time I did this but I was thinking my legs would not be as sore because I have been running - wrong, different muscle movement creates different muscle "pain".

Today is day 3 for me - I have been doing it after work. Looking forward to tomorrow so I am over the hump!!

I'm glad to have company doing this - I think of my bootcamp women and that helps motivate me to get moving. Love you!!!

I didn't know if I would survive yesterday...okay, okay so I am being dramatic. I don't know if I got a head cold or what but it was a rough day with lots of pressure in my sinuses. I woke up today and did TWO and I feel tons better. So keep it up ladies one day at a time... God is so great at giving us strength when we need it.

Done! I'm sore today. I'm looking forward to tomorrow, though. I took my measurements. I'm officially a total short torso. I knew I was, but now I've got the measurements to prove it. 1 inch between rib and hips!! When I do the T Tapp Twist, my bones hit together! It's painful if I don't do it in proper form. Just like Teresa says, pain is a great teacher. So, I've lost 1/2 inch from my lower ab/hip area. Since I have such a short torso those two areas are pretty much the same thing.....everywhere else measured the same as Monday, but hey, 1/2 inch in 3 days is pretty good progress!! Good motivation to keep going!!

May. 23, 2007 - Day 3 is over!!

Whew! I don't know about you ladies, but I'm tired. I believe it when she says day 3 is the hardest - surely tomorrow will be better. After I was done ttapping, I got ravenously hungry and had to eat lunch at 10:30!!

I'm also a short torso. After reading the email this morning, I measured and have about 1 1/2 inches between rib and hip. When I first started ttapping and saw Theresa lean way over sideways to do the torso twist, I nearly died trying to do the same thing! Just kiddin'. But it does explain alot to know what type you are. And it keeps me motivated to have other ladies doing it with me! Have a great day.

Today was really rough, but thanks to the accountability that I feel to you wonderful ladies I got through it. I did Ttapp to Tempo Mon and Tues. My kids went out of town with grandparents, and instead of taking it easy I have been going in more directions than normal.
In addition to homeschooling, I also work, usually only a day here and there, as a RN. I decided to go to work extra today, and after getting up at 5am and working a 12 hour shift followed by errands, I came home and immediately exercised. I did not do the whole workout, but the tempo equivalent to the basic workout. I was just really proud that I exercised at all considering that I usually don't after working all day.
Tomorrow I'll do the whole workout and get an hour or so of cardio to make up for it.
I also loved how you reminded us of body shapes. I think that this was one of the greatest lessons that I learned with ttapp. Understanding body shape has helped me personally with so many issues/baggage that has haunted me for most of my life.
