Adultness

Posted at 8:43 PM on Mar. 19, 2008

Well, I am back, I just haven't had a spare moment to stop and write a good long blog.

It turned out a family we've been friends with for years came down here to spend spring break with us. So I haven't had tons of spare time to write and keep up with the internet.

But I did have a very nice 18th birthday, nothing spectacular, just five girlfriends and I going out to Chili's for lunch. The waiter brought us a free chocolate volcano cake and sang Happy Birthday to me.Then the next day my family all went out for chinese food and celebrated all of our March birthdays. So I am 18....what does that mean? The government says it means that I am now an adult and a full citizen with rights and responsiblities. Eeck, it can be confusing and rather daunting. What am I supposed to do now?

The trip to Mexico was fabulous as always. Except for the first two days I was quite sick for various reasons. One being I always get altitude sickness and Saltillo is up in the mountains. But we got to go so many places and do so many things. Eat lots of yummy food. We went to the beautiful  massive cathedral in Monterrey(btw I LOVE that city, so classy and historic) and I got to pray a little in the gorgeous high ceiled sanctuary. We once again got churros, mmmmm! And walked through the centro of Saltillo, the plaza. We went to Cola de Caballo, Horsetail Falls, Prettiful waterfalls. And got to interact with some believers, on the whole the Mexican people are very kind hospitable people. So much fun getting ot know them.

Well,I have more to say but that's all the time I have.
