Cinderella

   Cinderella, Cinderella!

That’s what they call me. I wish my father had never given me that name.

My three stepsisters tease me about that name, well Kristy and Ally do, they are my older sisters; I mean Stepsisters. They get away with pretty much anything; and both father and stepmother let them! Kathy and I are treated like we are nothing! My real name is Ella Marie DeCaprea. I never get called by that though. Kathy calls me Ella Marie, but she the only one; Kathy is extremely sweet and it seems that I can only talk to her with my thoughts and share with her my feelings. Father used to be the one I’d go to with my problems and secrets after mother died, but then he married Duchess Damaris and everything changed!      Kathy and I became friends at first sight, because we were close in age at the time. Then there were our snobby sisters; they think they’re all that, all ways saying that we could never meet the prince if we act like heathens, which we don’t! The only thing we do different from them is ride horses and would prefer to sit close to the fire places while reading.  They think we act like selfish children, which by the way I am seventeen and Kathy is sixteen, were not children!; our older sisters are in their twenties and still not married… Ha! I pity their husbands! We have young men coming almost every day wanting to marry the two duchesses, which aren’t really duchess because my father is a lord which that would make them ladies.  So too correct my self young men come almost every day wanting to marry the snobby Ladies…. They refuse them! Can you believe that, of course they want to be a ‘princess’ and marry the prince… Well I wish I could write more, but I must retire to my bed and also my candle light is burning out.
