The Songs of a Maiden Elf
The first star peaked out from behind the cloudy dark sky. A maiden elf walked through the dark mysterious forest of Mala. Her hair was dark brown with curls and her eyes were purple. She walked as if on a mission. Her long blue dress flew in the wind and walked with passion and holding her head high. Even though the leaves were on the floor of the earth and crisp, not a single one crackled underneath her feet.
At last she reached an opening with the trees parting to the sky. She looked up into the dark sky and now dozen of stars showed themselves and the clouds were misted around them. She lifted her head and opened her mouth, her red lips beautifully moving. She sang a song, and old elfish song that goes like this.
The stars in the sky are brightly shining,
The fish in the stream swim with glee,
The mountains have goats that run and baa,
This is the song of life,
The children laugh as they run and play,
The mothers sing the cleaning tunes,
The fathers sing their song ding dong ding dong as they hammer metal,
And families dance around in circles,
This is the song of life,
Look, look up in the sky,
Look, look at the stars so bright,
Dance around and sing with joy,
Be thankful for your song of life.
She sang in a high voice, but sweet and soothing. If you had been there you might have sat in daze with her voice. She then sat on the ground, spread out her gown and placed her clasped hands on her lap and then looked straight forward and opened her mouth again.
Sleep, Sleep, sleep again young child,
Rest your little head,
And dream of places far away,
Sleep, sleep, sleep again sweet child,
Cover yourself with woolen blankets,
And close your weary eyes,
Sleep, sleep, sleep again my child,
Let your mind go to ease,
And open another world,
And sleep.
She smiled as she saw a young Elvin child come and rested her head by the Maiden Elf’s warm body. This child was none other then her own. Her dear sweet daughter, she stroked her daughters blond curls and looked up towards the sky yet again.
“Dear daughter?” the Maiden Elf spoke with a voice of honey,
“Yes mommy?” the daughter said tiredly, eyes beaming into her mothers.
“Would you like to hear a song that I wrote specially for you?” her daughter nodded her head with delight.
A child of beauty,
With rosy cheeks,
And soft blond curls,
You are my daughter,
And this is your song of love,
Dance whenever you’re sad,
Sing always,
Laugh as if you were crying,
Laugh with joy deep inside your heart,
Never lose your beautiful red smile,
Child of beauty,
You are my daughter,
I love you with all my heart,
You are cherished,
Daughter of beauty.
The daughter looked up at her mother, the Maiden Elf and smiled. The smile was so beautiful that the mother couldn’t help but smiling as well. She stood and took her daughters hand. They walked away and left the dark night as if they were never there.
The songs that the Maiden Elf had sung were songs that had been passed down for generations to all elves. The last one was a song composed by the Maiden Elf.
Sing and laugh and never lose your smile.

About the Author
Shalom,
My name is Hannah. I am a fifteen year old girl saved by the grace of God! I am living to give all the glory and honor to my Jesus. I love the Lord with all my heart and I strive to be with Him. I am an only girl and I have three awesome (though sometimes crazy) brothers, an amazing momma and our dog Wezzy. I am a writer of music, poems, stories and lyrics. I enjoy singing, writing, playing piano, reading, studying Gods word, drawing/sketching and dance. I have written three songs on the piano and I long to have them down on paper soon. I love to be in the Word and spending time with God. Yahweh is my hero, my savior, my King and my love! If you are ever in need of prayer, Id love to pray for you! I am currently pursuing my career in counseling 5-15yr olds with broken families, or that just need someone to be there for them! "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. 'The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. 'There is no commandment greater than these." Basically Love God; Love Others! So I guess this is a somewhat brief description of who I am. If you read Greetings you will find out more of what this blog is about!
May the Lord protect and defend you! In Christ, Hannah.
