-A Note From the Author-

Step back and examine your life before the Lord.     God has blessed me in so many ways, and I would love to share with you one of the biggest ways He has blessed me. This year my family and I ventured out to Zumbro Falls, Minnesota yet once again to work at a beautiful camp called 'Camp Victory.' I can remember the trip being long and somewhat tired-some. When we finally reached the road leading to the camp, I could feel my heart racing. I was finally here! As soon as we parked we were greeted by some of our camp buddies from last year. I had dearly missed them all. Even though we had gotten to camp at the end of it's first week, that didn't stop me from hanging out with the campers. I was so excited to see my Kids Kamp campers from last year. They all hugged me and shouted my nickname "SKITTLES!" It nearly brings tears to my eyes now, I dearly miss many of the wonderful people in Minnesota.        I was very fortunate to become a Jr. Overnight Counselor one of the weeks with my two dear friends Smiley (Kelly) and Berry (Holly). It was a wonderful experience and I have kept in touch with a few of my campers. I can remember on the last evening of that week, we sat around in a circle on the floor in the cabin. We were all telling stories and eating junk food. Ally (one of the campers) told me this because I was laughing so hard at all the funny moments we had all had. "One time I forgot to breathe and they had to take me to the hospital" well a comment like that made me laugh even harder. I don't know if it was the sugar or the lack of sleep but I was giggling up a storm. Later that evening the two girl cabins joined together and shared our food and soda with each other. We also painted each others nails and had a good time. Finally it was time for us to go back to the cabin and get to bed! Another great moment from that week is that the majority of the cabin accepted Christ! We were all rejoicing and instead of playing the night game, all the girls wanted to do was dance around in the field and sing praises to Jesus! Isn't that just amazing! I almost want to cry again with joy thinking about the wonderful memory!       I met so many kids, and even though I didn't know it at times made an impact on other lives! It is so amazing to see how God can use you!      I also met some of the neatest people. The Camp Victory Staff! There were many adventures had with them. But the closet friends I had that were always there for me was Ethan, Holly and Amy. I am truly blessed with them! Even though we all live in different states we still keep in touch!
