Increased Faith Through Answered Prayers

Isn't God good!!!   When I last wrote I was telling of my 7 year old son's decision to fast and pray for a day.  Well,  he made it an entire day without so much as a crumb of food.  I saw him many times throughout the day praying when he felt hungry.  We even had pizza that night and he didn't eat any!  God heard his prayers! His aunt called him  to thank him for his prayers that same day when she found out about his decision to fast.  She was scheduled for a surgery that very day but had to cancel because of flu in the family.  She called a few days later to say she was thinking about how our dear son  had prayed and fasted for her and for some reason ,as she was riding in the car, she closed her good eye to try and look out her blind eye ......AND   she could see headlights coming down the road! God was answering prayers!  But He wasn't done yet.
She just called  to speak to my son again the other day.  She told him that she went in for her eye surgery (the one that had been postponed for sickness)  and the Dr. said her eye was doing so good she didn't need a surgery!  She doesn't  have to go back for 2 months now!  And her vision in her once  blind eye is getting better and better!  What a Mighty God we serve!

It has been awesome to watch my son go through this - I know his faith has increased by seeing God at work.  We shouldn't be surprised when He does something great - we should expect it, after all He's God!
He created the universe, He sent His Son to die for us, He loves us.   He still makes the blind see, He still answers prayers, and He's still workin' on me!

About Me

Welcome, I'm Fru Astrida. I hear you asking now, "Why Fru Astrida?" Well, just let me tell you. With my oldest I am reading The Little Duke, a story about Richard the Fearless. It was common practice then for "young princes to be put under the care of some trusty vassal, instead of being brought up at home." Fru Astrida and her family were chosen because they could speak the Old Norweigan tounge which many had forgotten. In church one Sunday I realized that like Fru Astrida I too have been charged with bringing up 3 of THE KING's children! Wow what a responsibility! I feel so blessed to be able to raise these 3 precious ones. So that is why I am Fru Astrida and this blog is titled what it is. This blog will hopefully serve to document some of the invaluable memories we are creating, keep family members connected to our lives, and just clear my mind of some of the mindless clutter that can often collect there. <big grin>
