I've Been Tagged

I've been tagged by my friend at whisperingways.blogspot.com   I think she must have known I needed something to make me quit neglecting this blog.  Anyway, here are the rules.

Rules:
1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and asking them to read your blog.

And here are my 8 random facts/habits about myself... oh boy what will I put!!!!

1.  I am so frugal  that my parents and husband say I'm right on the border  of being cheap!  Now, that's not all bad   I just like to consider it being a good steward LOL!  When I was in youth (doesn't seem like that long ago) I was given the award of a bank that looked like a roll of $ because I spent so little on our trip.

2.  I went to a private school in Fla. in my elementary years.  When we moved to New York I absolutely hated wearing pants!  They just felt so uncomfortable LOL.   What was I thinking???  (that's random huh?)

3.  I have a habit of checking all the doors to be sure they are locked at night.  I know -  I also probably border on OCD - but really... if I don't check them no one else does!  Once I woke up to a squeaky noise and when I went into the kitchen the front door had blown open!  Come on now - that's just not safe!!!!! Now I sometimes check them more than once

4.  I once glued a quarter to our back steps as an April Fool's joke .... It's still there!!!

5. My feet are cold right now.

6. I know many of the words to the Run D MC (not sure that's  how you spell it)  song "You Be ill'n"  I use to sing in on my uncle's weight bench with a make believe mic.  Hey I was really young!

7. Although I think people who do really random things in public are very funny ------ THEY SCARE ME!!!  My husband is one of these people.

8.  All I hear is creamed corn!!!!

Now to choose who I will tag   hmmmm. I only know a few bloggers and I have a strange feeling some of them just won't participate... but I'll go tag now anyway.

About Me

Welcome, I'm Fru Astrida. I hear you asking now, "Why Fru Astrida?" Well, just let me tell you. With my oldest I am reading The Little Duke, a story about Richard the Fearless. It was common practice then for "young princes to be put under the care of some trusty vassal, instead of being brought up at home." Fru Astrida and her family were chosen because they could speak the Old Norweigan tounge which many had forgotten. In church one Sunday I realized that like Fru Astrida I too have been charged with bringing up 3 of THE KING's children! Wow what a responsibility! I feel so blessed to be able to raise these 3 precious ones. So that is why I am Fru Astrida and this blog is titled what it is. This blog will hopefully serve to document some of the invaluable memories we are creating, keep family members connected to our lives, and just clear my mind of some of the mindless clutter that can often collect there. <big grin>
