Is there a book on this stuff?
|
Thanks to all of you for continuing to look for my wife. When me and the boys checked our traps today they were empty. All of the chocolate and root beers were gone and the computer was hot to the touch, so I'm pretty sure she's here somewhere.
I've got a few questions about this whole blogging thing we do and would like some help from my fellow bloggers. So here goes.
1. When someone responds to my blog should I respond to their response of my blog or should I respond to their blog like the other responders have done?
2. Where do I go to get a bloggers dictionary? You know, something that will tell me what LOL DH FIL DS DD MIL KWIM ROTFLOL IRL HTH IMHO and the best of all asdfhgjkllljjhk;jkhasddk; which if I understand correctly is Homescool Blogger Laughter.
3. How do I get the picture of the little red wagon off of my page and put something a little more manly on there? Like a picture of a ten point buck eating a 12 pound bass while standing in the back of huge 4x4 truck driving through a muddy creek being driven by wife right after she gets her hair fixed. Yeah!! Thats what I'm talking about........ Sorry I got a little caught up in the moment....
I would greatly appreciate any and all of your comments on these matters. It would really help me to enjoy my whole blogging experience.
Thanks God Bless and GO VOLS! -- Tony
Ps) I just let my DW read this before I submitted it and she asked me if Deer really eat fish? Thats why I love her so much!

Hey wait a minute! I thought you couldn't find your wife, how did she just ask you about deer? ;) I had to LOL at your questions, KWIM? (sorry, I just HAD to do that) My DH is mildly curious about this whole blogging thing, which is up from completely indifferent just a few days ago. Maybe if I keep talking about this Alliance thing ya'll have going on he'll consider joining. Hmmmm. And as for your DW, you'd better find her. I don't want to be driving by myself next week!

The Paternal Alliance is not doing its job. So I feel it is my obligation to give you a little bit of direction. Isn't that what we wives do best.
First you don't have to respond to anything if you don't want to. But that's not the way to win friends and influence bloggers. You can respond to questions and discussions as seems appropriate. Some comments lend themselves to a reply others don't. I"m sure a man who doesn't have trouble talking to strangers in grocery stores knows how to do this better than you think.
As far as the lingo goes. A lot of that is from Instant Messaging. LOL is loads of laughter, ROFL is rolling over for laughter, DH that' you dear husband, FIL that's what we wives call DH's dad, DD is dear daughter, MIL is your momma, HTH is hope that helps, and IMHO is in my humble opinion,
jffjkldjflksdjfkldsjflksdj is from Kate Kessler. She invented that as a way to just be so funny you're falling all over the keyboard.
I'ld also encourage you to read the blog library. There are a few articles there on blog etiquette and stuff. YOu can find those on the portal page. At the top.
As far as the ten point buck at the top of your page. I can't help you with that one. But I'd encourage you to visit with Kris Price. She's the template lady. She's got loads of cute little kitchen icons and stuff. Maybe she can find a deer for you. All the code for that can be found in the edit template feature of you navigation bar where you begin to post. Jay from Cleveland's blog also has some code information that you may find useful.
IMHO you'll do just fine. Just keep on blogging. Don't worry about making a mistake. We won't hold it against you. Have fun

Love your blogs! My husband wouldn't mind blogging but he would rather do a hot rod blog. He does however get a kick out of reading yours. After reading the comments I realized that maybe acronyms were regional. LOL to me means Laugh Out Loud. ROFL means Roll on Floor Laughing. DS and DD means Dependent Son and Dependent Daughter, but I could never understand how a wife could have a DH, which I assumed then meant Dependent Husband. Dear Husband sounds so much better! By the way TIA means Thanks In Advance. I don't like that one as my name is Tia and I finally had to ask someone why on earth they kept putting that at the end of e-mails to me.
Keep it up! Tia

Hmmm, I am not sure I can help you. I am blog challenged to say the least. However, I think you should listen to spunky. Her reply was excellent and better than I could ever do. May I say again your blog is way better than mine. I don't have anyclue how to change the pic and here you are already with y our dream pic. Not right! tee hee. Actually, I had to look twice at it becasue nancy was looking so good. I thought, hey she isn't lost she's just trying to turn on her man. asdfghikl;! Maybe you should get that made into a poster. =) Leslie

because he would be terribly jealous of your deer eating fish, or is that deer, eating fish? Plust the fact that you actually got something while hunting..........and that your wife gets her hair fixed (was it broken? LOL)
Plus, he couldn't figure out these acronyms either, asdflkjasdflkajsd.
