Unga Bunga!!!

Well it's been a few days since my last post, but I have a good excuse.  Hunting Season!  I spent the last 3 days in the woods with my 3 boys and a very good friend trying to get some tasty deer meat for the old Carter Family freezer.  My oldest got a shot at what will always be remembered as "the one that got away".   My friend took down the biggest whitetail buck thats ever been taken on our farm.  We got it home, hung it up, and got it ready to be put in the freezer.  AAHH the thrill of the hunt!

I enjoyed the hunting quite a bit this weekend.  What I enjoyed more was getting to hang out with my boys, and a buddy, doing manly stuff.  I really enjoy getting the opportunity to teach my boys to be the hunter gatherers that I feel God created men to be.  To cap off the testosterone fest tonight, while my BW (beautiful wife) was out shopping, me and the boys sat down and watched Kingdom of Heaven.  A great movie if I've ever seen one.  The greatest part was watching there responses at one part of the movie.  While the main character was trying to get the troops ready for war he decided to make them all "knights" and this was their oath:

"Be without fear in the face of your enemies.

Be brave and upright that God may love thee.

Speak the truth always, even if it leads to death.

Save God the helpless and do no wrong.

Arrise you are a knight!".

Just then a cowwardly man steps in and ask the leader if he thinks the men will fight any harder just because he made them knights.  He said, "I know they will".  My boys went crazy.  It was true camo wearing, football loving, test-fest.

I do love the smell of testosterone in the morning!

Hey Tony, I don't quite feel the way the men in your house do when it comes to huntin'... You provide it; I eat it... Guess I'm the parasite type...!

Sounds like a good weekend filled with testosterone! Tripp and the boys must come up to visit. I know they would love all the woods, hunting, 4 wheelers and getting to actually meet MR TONY at an age they can remember him. It's always amusing to me how they recognize your photos and Joshua can always pick out Jo Jo.
Love you guys......
PS Maybe we can a trip on the sly and surprise Tripp.

about JenIg's phantom baby:
Bubba Cooter Igarashi. Which means Dances with Possums.
Totally cracked me up.
However, your comment on YOUR site: "I love the smell of t. . . in the morning" totally grossed me out. Guess that evens things out a bit.

Nice to *meet* you.

You are close to being another Lewis Grizzard (SP?) You have a gift and I enjoy reading your home spun yarn. I am close to being inspired to start my own blog, but I'm not quite there. I have to admit that I have never been a big hunter, but I do find the itch to kill something from time to time. Julie has made it clear that our dog and cats are off limits. Keep sharing the good stuff brother!

what, you have a blog too? I can hardly check my email much less set up and run a blog. I am Nancy's technologically challenged friend.

I saw you had a blog/comment area so thought I would. Tom said he would like a deer (steak?) for Christmas. Don't know if it would be possible to freeze and keep for 2 days til we could get it to my parents house.

I SO hope it works that we can get together. Oh, tell nancy that we got tickets (a God thing, I'll fill her in later) and around the 21st to meet up with you guys? She said you were working out things with your schedule. If you guys can't do it I totally understand, but would love to give those boys a squeeze!

will chat later!

Hey Tony, We're into scouting and according to the Founder, the Scout Law is based on the medieval Knight's Code. We think scouting is great for our kids since they learn leadership and practical skills while doing fun outdoors stuff. Wanted to see that flick back in the summer, thanks for the positive review. l8r, j
