Thursday, December 7, 2006 a nice little entry...
so I wrote this thing the other day...and then I came on here..and I was like, "I wanted to post something..what was it?"
anyways...here it is. :)
what your love has done for me
captured all my hopes and dreams
and said it will be all right
I'll take care of you
you'll never be alone
I'm always right here waiting for you
you've thrown out all my insecurities
telling me it's ok to try and fly
picking me up when I fall
brushing away my tears
and telling me to try again
you're there after the last call
carrying me home
and giving me light
when I can't find my way
what do you all think?

Wednesday, November 29, 2006 NCIS
you watch? ja?
Ok so last night I missed the first 15 minutes, but pretty much they found a body that had been smoked in a high school chimney for about 5 years. talk about freaky. Abby called him, "Slim Jim" I cracked up. and I was happy cause that was a nickname of mine like forever ago and it was cool to hear her say it.
Supossedly he is a serial killer that the FBI has been looking for for 12 years. FBI was going to take over, but then it turns out that he was murdered...on a military base...so NCIS gets to keep the case.
ok, so me thinks that Tony is totally in love. Not sure who she is as I've missed a few weeks, but she seems very nice. But, will Tony change his ways?
Abby has a new friend..or is he more than just a friend? Marty studies plants...and is a little person. SWEET!! Go Abbs. Will it continue? Oh and BTW he helped solve the whole thing. The only thing is...what about McGee? He looked a tad forlorn when he saw the note and flowers (black roses, Abby's favorite).
So Palmer and the asian girl seem to have something going on...I won't comment further.
So we have a dead serial killer (or was he?), and we have his crying wife with one toe on her left foot (gross).
each of the victims looked a lot like the wife...and had all the toes except for one cut off the left foot.
An angry husband?
maybe not....
OK!! It was the wife. How did they find out? 4 or 5 skeletons in the backyard of the wife's house. Husband has been dead 5 years...but the skeletons have only been there for 6 monthes (there were plants growing and Marty figured out the time they had been there). So it couldn't have been the husband. he's dead, remember? so....It was the wife!! Creepy. Can't wait 'till the next episode.
So tonight I'm going to an Improv Comedy Workshop and Show at 6pm.
YESYESYESYES!!
It's at the library but it's put on by the Improv group at a local high school. They held one in Feburary and I went and had a great time. But I was alone, didn't know anyone....so this time Amanda is coming with me. yay!! it's going to be so much fun....I can't wait..only 5 hours 'till 6pm. x]
EDIT: I got some music up.
Stars by Switchfoot (only song I like by them)
No One Like You by Barlow Girl (only barlow girl song on there)
Hero Remix by Superchic[k] (love that song so much!!)
Amarantine by Enya (probably my favorite Enya song)

that's un-American.
Everyone likes HSM.
Not liking HSM is like not liking oreos.
Weird. |
I never said that I have seen the movie. I don't dislike the movie (though the concept of the movie does sound really dumb). I can't say I don't like it because I've never seen it. What I don't like is how obsessed people get. The watching it everytime it comes on. Tapeing it so you can watch it when you want. Memorizing the dances. Buying the cd so you can do those dances you memorized. Putting up posters. Obsessing over Zach.what's.his.face. That kind of thing. I just don't like when people get obsessed over movies. I think it's fine to show that you love a certain movie. but come on, seriously. Zach.what's.his.face. isn't even cute. yeesh!!
Oh and I do like oreos. And I never said I wasn't weird.

Sunday, November 26, 2006 My Thanksgiving? what? Huh? What were we talking about?
Ok. So.
Got up around 7 am and took Hobo out. (I was watching him this week). Gave Socks food.
Took a shower. Got ready. Did Chores. regular stuff.
Then we started watching the Parade. Everything is everything I thought of right while I was watching. Added commentary in (these things) by me. x] oh and not everything is commented on because A. didn't feel that it was worth my time to thing about it and/or B. I missed it cause I was helping my mom. oh and we didn't watch all of it cause then we went to eat.
Rascal Flatts-Ok, I don't like that song anyways...so...
(it was that "we live to ride we right to live...me and my gang. gosh that song is SO.LAME.)
Josh Groban- OMGOSH!! I can't wait to get the cd!!
(My mom asked for it for Christmas. I am SO going to get it for her. He was so....like himself which is TOTALLY.AMAZING.)
Jersey Boys-um. Their ok. One of the guys looks like the psycho husband in Enough. The tallest one.
(you know Enough right? With J.Lo? And her husband beats her up?)
Spirit of America and the cast of High School Musical-float is nice. HSM stars-who cars? Well, I guess everyone but ME.
(yeah I know. I haven't seen it. but ya know what? I don't want to. who cares? it's a movie and Zack.what's.his.face. is U.G.L.Y.)
"Mozal Tov to you!!"
JoJo-OMGOSH!! Love it. It's so neat. Her poor nose, it looks alittle flat.
Only male turkeys gobble and only in 2 seasons. Felmales click.
Seseame Street-Neat!! It's so cute. Elmo says...
Dora- OMGOSH SHE IS EVEN MORE SCARY WHEN 42 FEET LONG!!
(she really was. really really really really double really with knobs scary.)
Storytime- Goose is scary. Julie Andrews is so.awseomly.amazing.
(like duh, have you seen The Princess Diaries)
Tutenstein- wow. wow. It's so Cool!!
(love anything with Egypt so duh!)
Charlotte's Web-Terrific, radient, some pig! Humble. :)
The Drowsy Chaparone-one word. Dissapointing. Very very dissapointing.
(ok so everytime we watch the parade, which isn't that often, I look forward to the broadway play scenes. Last time we watch they had like 2 or 3 plays and it was live in front of people. this time...it was just lame. lame lame lame.)
Teddy Bear Works-Oh, man. They've taken over.
(ok, you see them everywhere. really quite scary.)
I jsut hear something about Hannah Montana but I don't know what they were talking about!! Wah!!
(love that chick.)
NFL Float-Who cares? oh want, not me. -_-;;
Ate lunch. yum!! then just lazed around the rest of the day. watch Mission Impossible 3 that night. missed CSI though...cause we taped Survivor and then mom taped Grey's so I didn't get to tape CSI. so what happened? anyone watch? PLEASE SOMEONE!!!!!!! I NEED TO KNOW!!!!!!

Saturday, November 25, 2006 just a teeny-tiny little bitty entry....
Wednesday, November 22, 2006 Thankful
When we were asked what we were thankful for at co-op last week...I stood up and said, "Coffee"
Ok yes I am thankful for coffee since I had woken up at 5 am that morning...but really. There are more serious things to be thankful for.
like how we live in a nation that is free...
free to say what we want (with in reason of course)
free to dress how we want
free to be who we want
or thankful that we are saved by Jesus' blood. like whoa. we should be extra thankful...more thankful than unsaved people....because we have Jesus.
what are you thankful for? something silly and something serious...:)
Have a happy Thanksgiving,
K-K-Kayla |

Monday, November 20, 2006 saudade-verb (Portuguese) the longing for things that were or might have been.
ok read this in The Meaning of Tingo by Adam Jacot de Boinod. It got me thinking about how I've kinda been missing Korea.
like I miss the food.
and the Chicken Place.
and the park
and the rec
and the stadium
and the teeny-tiny YMCA soccer field
and going to the movies every night
and just the way all my friends and I were.
so many people left.
2 days after I left Kyle and Karlie left
then Jason left after the summer last year
then at the beggining of this summer Erika left...
our group is spread out all over the place. I don't even talk to any of them anymore.
the only person I talk to is Grace...and we hadn't even e-mailed almost all summer...
though I did e-mail her a few days ago and she e-mailed back....
same 'ole grace. completely nutty. like this time she said that the hairy and insecure monster in her closet ate her spacebar. so the whole e-mail didn't have spaces. she's just so funny.
mm...so now I feel like pictures. old old old like a year and a half ago pictures. be prepared....
I'm in the green shirt...yes it looks like I'm sitting on the ajema's lap..but really I'm on a suitcase...yeesh 4 hours on the subway is not fun!!
Keri (Chicken) and Sarah (bo-barah).
Jaaaaaaaaaaason. who is still my most favorite person.
John Q...my only oppa. coolest geek you'll ever meet.
Chedder, Patch the Pirate, and Chicken. *ahem* Me, Patchin, and Keri.
Carrie. (Carebear) she spent my 14 birthday with me watching movies and eatting junk food while promising to go on a diet. x]
Becca and Jessica. (jess-ka) funny girls.
teeny picture...on the swings at Pusan.

Jason, Erika, Ian, and Me. we were all close for a while...
the 4 of us plus amy on the subway.
Chalupa (Grace)
no seats on the subway? just plop down on the ground. x]
Jess-ka and Marky Boii or Jacob e. or just plain Erika.
My hero...Chalupa!! killer of bugs...
Jim. Slim Jim. jimmiie D. Chalupa. Kayla.
Amy!! or Amoo. or whatever.
Sam? yeah Sam.
No pictures, please. Kyle. my 'big brother'. x]
"That's so not what that was made for."
"No, Kyle!! Be careful!!"

Friday, November 17, 2006 Nine? isn't that no in like german or something?
Saw this tag going around...thought I would do it...even if I wasn't tagged...just cause I'm cool like that. x]
Nine odd things about me:
1. I can't go into Ulta and not come out with lip gloss. Which means I'm addicted to buying lip gloss.
2. I'm addicted to buying and writing in notebooks.
3. I hate the smell of wet grass.
4. I've read almost every M. E. Kerr book except for Is that you, Miss Blue? and 2 of the Fell books.
5. I STILL haven't seen Return of the King.
6. When my sister gets Amber Brown or Junie B. Jones books from the library...I read them.
7. I don't like dirt.
8. I'm scared of bugs. well..not just scared...like I live in fear of bugs. it's not just a ooo scary bug kinda thing. it's a OMGOSH THERE IS A BUG RIGHT THERE kinda thing.
9. I am totally in love with Grissom from C.S.I. and I think that Catherine and Warrick should fall in love and get married. but first Warrick would have to divorce his wife. yeah know I thought they were going to but then he was talking to her and it was all good? oh and don't say anything about last night...haven't watched it yet. :)
ok. anyways don't know if I did that right....anyways me and my fantabulous neighbors went to Wal-Mart and Ulta last night. now...there's this list of stuff to do in Wal-mart...don't worry I'm going to put it here...but I'll have you know we did some stuff...like we took shoes and put them in the men's section..then I grabbed some REDSKINS visors and we put them in the lady's section...oh and we played football with a ball of yarn in the shoe section....we're going to do the soccer one next time. :) oh yeah and we wondered through the whole store yelling, "mom!!" (well she did) and I yelled her mom's name..it was really funny cause people would stare at us while we were like, "What?"
Things To Do in Wal-Mart * Take shopping carts for the express purpose of filling them and stranding them at strategic locations. * Ride those little electronic cars at the front of the store. * Set all the alarm clocks to go off at ten minute intervals throughout the day. * Start playing football -- see how many people you can get to join in. * Walk up to an employee and tell him in an official tone, ''I think we've got a Code 3 in Housewares,'' and see what happens. * Tune all the radios to a polka station, then turn them all off and turn the volumes to ''10.'' * Play with the automatic doors. * Walk up to complete strangers and say, ''Hi! I haven't seen you in so long!...'' etc. See if they play along to avoid embarrassment. * Leave small sacrifices or gifts in the hands of the mannequins. *. Play soccer with a group of friends, using the entire store as your playing field. * As the cashier runs your purchases over the scanner, look mesmerized and say, ''Wow. Magic!'' * Move ''Caution: Wet Floor'' signs to carpeted areas. * Set up a tent in the camping department; tell others you'll only invite them in if they bring pillows from Bed and Bath. * Contaminate the entire auto department by sampling all the spray air fresheners. * Randomly throw things over into neighboring aisles. * Play with the calculators so that they all spell ''hello'' upside down. (01134) * When someone asks if you need help, begin to cry and ask, ''Why won't you people just leave me alone?" * Take up an entire aisle in Toys by setting up a full-scale battlefield with G.I. Joes vs. the X-Men. * Take bets on the battle described above. * Set up another battlefield with G.I. Joes vs. Barbie. (Red lipstick might give an interesting effect...) * While handling guns in the hunting department, suddenly ask the clerk if he knows where the anti-depressants are. Act as spastic as possible. * Dart around suspiciously while humming the theme from ''Mission: Impossible.' * Attempt to fit into very large gym bags. * Attempt to fit others into very large gym bags. * Set up a ''Valet Parking'' sign in front of the store. * Leave Cheerios in Lawn and Garden, pillows in the pet food aisle, etc. * ''Re-alphabetize'' the CDs in Electronics. * Go to an empty checkout stand and try to check people out. * Drag a lounge chair on display over to the magazines and relax. If the store has a food court, buy a soft drink; explain that you don't get out much, and ask if they can put a little umbrella in it. * Go over to the shoe department and try on every pair of shoes, not putting one pair back. Take the paper from the boxes and throw it in various aisles. * When someone steps away from their cart to look at something, quickly make off with it without saying a word. * Follow people through the aisles, always staying about five feet away. Continue to do this until they leave the department. * Test the fishing rods and see what you can ''catch'' from the other aisles. * Hold indoor shopping cart races. * Re-dress the mannequins as you see fit. * When there are people behind you, walk REALLY SLOW, especially through narrow aisles. * Relax in the patio furniture until you get kicked out. * Challenge other customers to duels with tubes of gift wrap. * Make up nonsense products and ask newly hired employees if there are any in stock, i.e., ''Do you have any Shnerples here?'' * Ride a display bicycle through the store -- claim you're taking it for a ''test drive.'' * Leave cryptic messages on the typewriters. When someone announces something over the loud speaker, curl up on the floor and say, "No! It's those voices again! |

wristband I made today...only took me like 30 minutes...my fastest time yet!

First wristband made by knitting round. shiny things are rhinestones...it's really hard to hot glue on yarn...:)

Love this one...

First ever time hot glueing rhinestones on yarn....oh yeah and BE stands for Bloody Englishman. Name of future company. :)

44 baby!! yes!! x]

first knitted bracelet...the black is all beaded...

Red scarf done in Homespun for my mom for Christmas.

AH MY HEAD!! Sam was taking pictures...my pink Chunky Monkey scarf with pom-poms.

Pom-poms. :)

I thought I was smiling...anyways...my orange scarf with blue beading...it's so long it reaches the floor and piles...it's wrapped 3 times around my neck and still reaches my knees. ;)

Blue beading.

Short red scarf.

Short black scarf with KW

Pink wristband with blue flower.

Plain pink wristband...first one I ever made...it was knitted flat then stiched up the back.

Scarf I bought at WalMart for a dollar then decorated...

hannah B in her 80's style headband...:)

Blue hat with MJB.

White hat with upside down BE. I told Matt not to smile...x]

Pink and White bracelet with Pink earrings

red and silver earrings in teardrop shapes...yes they don't match but I like that.
I couldn't get pictures of most of the earrings I've made...their too shiny...x] |

Thursday, November 9, 2006 Mirror by BarlowGirl
I got a song up. woohoo...*dances around to coolio music*
Thank you to Chris.
This was the first BarlowGirl song I downloaded. It really changed how I looked my life. I was always letting people tell me who I am..or that I'm not being all I can be. But now I know that they can't tell me who I am because I know who I am and they don't. Does that make any sense?
K-K-Kayla
P.S. Co-op today!! yes....can't wait 'till me and mandy can start making fun of Michael...x] |

Wednesday, November 8, 2006 Suprise bead bag!! cha ja.
It used to be that when I got stressed I would twirl my hair...well when my mom cut my hair, I decided that I would NOT do it anymore. that was 46 or so days ago. no twirling. go me. :)
It also used to be that I would pick at my nails....
well since I no longer twirl my hair..all my stress is being taken out on my nails. They are so torn up..but I can't stop...
well anyways. tomarrow is co-op!! yes. I haven't seen my friends in 2 weeks cause last week it was canceled cause so many people were sick. not my family though. course hannah B. and Alex both have runny noses....-_-;; let's hope it's just teething.
who's working on their christmas lists already? I am...I'm even finding pictures and prices to help my parentel units. x]

Monday, November 6, 2006 Why yes, I did know that there's a heart on my sleeve.
blah. not much to say here.
let's see.
My new really good friends were told that I thought they were weird.
had to fix that. told them I don't think their weird...in fact their very very normal compared to me.
I got in to a HUGE fight with a friend.
and no I didn't fix that.
I have a science final to finish and I even know where to find the answers to several of the questions.
I even looked in the encyolopedia. BUT I STILL CAN'T FIND OUT IF HYDROGEN IS IONIC OR MOLEULAR. and if it's polar or non-polar.
yeesh.
I need more blank shirts to decorate.
I need to finish my mom's christmas present.
I need to finish the wristband I'm making.
Need to read 4 chapters in Vanity Fair.
yeesh, I should be doing other stuff instead of being on here...so...yeah.
Kayla
P.S. New slide show. :)
P.P.S. anyone know how I can get a music player for on here? One that I can just stick my own music I already have on it?

Friday, November 3, 2006 A picture, some words, and more pictures.

So I guess John Kerry was talking to some high school students in California back when he was campaining. He told them to stay in school and study hard...so else they'll end up in Iraq. ??????? OMAHGOSH. When my step-dad told me that I was like, "What about the Cididal?" and he said, "What about Annapolis? or Duke?"
I seriously couldn't believe it. There are people who go to college to learn how to be better soldiers. Being in the military is not just another job. It's really really important, these people protect our country.
So Alex wasn't feeling well this morning...so we got him dressed in a brand new shirt...and got PEANUT BUTTER!!
pictures...

"Is that peanut butter good?"

"Do you want to do it yourself?"

mmmmmmmmmm peanut butter...

Gotta get every last bit off...

mmmmmmmmm

note the goofy look on his face...that's what happens when you give one of the kids peanut butter...

Would you like some peanut butter?

who couldn't love a face like that?
I tried a new hairdo yesterday...

I got a big pack of black hairbands...I'm decorating them...this one is plain but I stuck my ever-present silver hairclipys on it. |

Thursday, November 2, 2006 Smile, It's the End of the World
yeah yeah yeah.
I really like Hawk Nelson. First time I heard them was on WPER The Positive Hits (have to say the whole thing)...lady calls in and says, "will you play Everything You Ever Wanted? It's my daughter's favorite song." I had never heard it...but I'm open to new stuff....
well...I LOVE IT SO MUCH. they started playing it alot...and when it came on I would stop whatever I was doing and just listen...
so when ever that happens with a song I know I have to download it..so I did. course now I want MORE of their songs....but I don't know which one....
anyone have a favorite Hawk Nelson song that's really good?
I'm also getting 2 Jeramy Camp songs that I really like.

Tuesday, October 31, 2006 where I've been...
Tuesday, October 31, 2006 profile picture...
changed it....it's the picture that made me think up my blog title...it's also in my slideshow...
what? you didn't know I have a slideshow? well...it's right there ------>
easy peasy lemony sqeasy. x[
Sunday afternoon a family from our church had a Reformation Day party...they have one every year. well I did something really funny...or at least me and Cory thought it was funny...
well we were walking around the house and there was a traffic cone just sitting on the ground...so of course I picked it up and started walking with it...
I was rambling on about the time Michael put a traffic cone on his head and how funny it was blah blah blah (me and cory majorly raided the candy bucket so we were a tad hyper) and I said, "I want to give this cone to somebody...but it has to be the perfect person..." and we saw this boy named Connor and Cory goes, "HEY CONNOR!! you want a traffic cone?" and he just looked at us like we were nuts....which we are..or at least I am...Not sure about cory...she's pretty normal...ha!
by that time we were by the food table, and these two boys who I didn't know where standing there....
I went up to one of them and said (completely serious), "would you like a traffic cone?"
and he said (also completely serious), "Yes!! Thank you, I have always wanted a traffic cone!! You know why?....*he looks around*...so I can do this!"
and he put it up to his mouth and made this huge noise....I was like WHOA!!
it was so funny!!
then all these younger boys kept on wanting to yell through it and he said, "no no! don't do it...you'll get in trouble..oh man I shouldn't have done that."
Cory and I kept on cracking up....I kept on walking all over the place...I would be like...I want some candy..*walk over here* I need something to drink *walk over here* let's go find Amy and Taylor *walk all the way over to the other side of the house* hey! I need something to drink! *walk all the way back*
cory was like, "why do you keep on walking? why can't we just stay in one place?"
taylor and I were watching all of the older boys play football and she goes, "let's be cheerleaders" and I was like ok...
so I was doing cartwheels and handstands and high-kicks....I was trying to get Taylor to be a little more perky with her kicks...I said, "bounce a little...like this *bounce, kick* perky perky perky!!" she was like, "I am being perky!!" it was so funny...course then I got carried away with the bouncing and bounced right before a cartwheel...which I can't do or else I hurt my wrist..which I did...didn't hurt for too long though.....
ok I'm done rambling...I swear I am...:) |

Thursday, October 26, 2006 Pray for South Dakota!
This is part of an e-mail from the Rock for Life e-mail newsletter I get...
Dear fellow Rock for Lifers,
In two weeks South Dakotans go to the polls to possibly ban all surgical and medical abortions. If we win, this could be monumental in our efforts to restore personhood to all human beings, including those still residing in their mother's womb. We are living in historic times.
But the battle has only begun. Help is needed both physically and financially. Please read the letter below from our president of American Life League, Judie Brown and prayerfully consider what you can do in these efforts. I am leaving Rock for Life headquarters tomorrow morning for Sioux Falls, South Dakota to give my all in this battle.
Would you prayerfully consider doing this as well?
Erik Whittington
Director, Rock for Life
South Dakota needs volunteer helpers to get out the vote...
From: Judie Brown, president of American Life League
Dear pro-life friend,
Two weeks from today, the fate of millions of children in the womb could be decided as South Dakota voters go to the polls to uphold -- or reject -- their state's lifesaving ban on medical and surgical abortions.
The outcome of this crucial vote is poised to have a sweeping impact all across America.
Here's the problem...
In addition to its $8,000,000 media campaign, Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry have hired top-gun political consultants to mobilize their "get out the vote" efforts (the same political operatives who got abortion advocate Barack Obama elected to the U.S. Senate and who turned him into a media darling).
The abortion chain is flying activists to South Dakota from around the country in its efforts to get abortion advocates to the polls, and to confuse and mislead pro-lifers in hopes that they will vote against the ban.
The sad thing is that Planned Parenthood's scheme seems to be working.
Early voting is already underway in South Dakota, and the latest polls show the pro-life side behind by three percentage points... even though 3 out of 4 South Dakotans consider themselves "pro-life."
If we don't mobilize more pro-life volunteers on the ground -- and FAST! -- the election could possibly go down to defeat.
Nobody knows when (or IF) we'll get another chance like this if Planned Parenthood wins in South Dakota on election day. |

Tuesday, October 10, 2006 Awakening Fest
Ok, it was on September 16..but I was being lazy so I didn't post this...but I finally finished it...(yay me) :D
Wearing:
white long tank
orange shirt with gold rose design on bottom left
cargos
deck shoes
12:45-ish:
am picked up by a family from chruch. Taylor says, "Do you have extra clothes for just in case it rains?" I go racing back to my room and randomly grab a black skirt, black high neck shirt, cream low neck ruffle shirt, and a pair of feetless tights. wow. good thing I didn't need it...:) write notes back and forth with Taylor. Try to convince Taylor's mom that I really did eat lunch and no, I'm not hungry. Eat food that is given to me.
1:45:
Get to friend's of friend's house to met with other people. Hang out, stretch legs and meet kid named Jake. Have long convo. with Taylor about hair and what bands are playing on the way to fest.

waiting...Jake on skateboard, Mark w/ red hair, Timothy in plaid shirt and hat.
2:30-ish
FINALLY get to Awakening Fest. Grab everything we could possibly need and go wait in line to enter.
(now there will be no times cause I don't wear watches)
Enter.
Find place to sit that isn't a mud hole. (It was very muddy, as it had rained earler)
Taylor, Jake, Tim, Mark and I go down to the Stage to listen to Sevenglory. Taylor slips twice on the way down. I say, "it's your fault for wearing flip-flops!" and laugh, hard. Taylor and I lose the boys...brifly freak out, as we were told to stay with them...then forgot about them.

Fred (lead singer) and Caleb (bass)

Josh (guess what he plays)

Gabe (drums)
Sevenglory finishes.
Decide we LOVE them and go to merch area. Ask for a sticker that says, "Vote Yes 4 marriage One Man, One Woman." but they ran out...so I got a bumper sticker and stuck it on my shirt. Got information on Rock For Life. Got another bumper sticker and stuck it on my back.
Go over to band merch area. Taylor buys Sevenglory cd. I buy button that says I heart SG and a sticker that says Sevenglory.
Next, see Mark and Jake, they say their going to grafitti wall. They run off. See Taylor's mom and she says we can go too. So we race over there, and I say to the boys, "thought you could get rid of us?" Spray paint, "Jim 760" and also, "O" Spray paint edges of shoes silver. Ask girl where she got her hair cut. She says, "I cut it myself" Her friend says, "yeah, and she cut my hair too!!" Their hair is amazing.

Spray painting...

Look at that sweeeeeeeeet sticker!!

760!! Represent!! (ha!)
Go listen to Downthere. Their alright.

DownHere

The crowd. :) note the loooooooooong line of porta-potties in the backround. :)
Wander around, eat.
Matthew West was on next. Woooo...I love Matthew West!! It was so great..his message and his music are amazing!!

Then we hung around trying to get free stuff...

Chick-fil-a Cow!! yes!! I just had to get a picture. :)

Taylor and this other girl both grabbed the same shirt..so another girl did, "pick a number between 1 and 10" Taylor won. :)
Next was....BARLOW GIRL!! I was so excited. :)

Testing...

Testing with those sweeeeeeeeeet pink strings...

Still testing...I was way ready for them to start....

And then they did!! yes....

pink strings...where can I get pink strings??

Bright red hair...yeah that's me

She played two different basses..sweet. Did I mention I want all of their clothes? They look so cool. :)

The crowd...it got really big during Barlow Girl. The sun went down really fast...one second it was light..the next it was all grey. Really cool though.

Lauren is my favorite Barlow Girl. She is too cool for words. :)

The three. My favorite picture...Who says girl bands arn't cool?
After Barlow Girl, Taylor and I went back to where everyone was. Then we went and got Matthew West stuff (she got a cd and I got a no Sad button). Then we looned over to SevenGlory. She got a wristband and I got autographs...Fred and Josh were there. Fred was talking to a group of boys..and I thought," ya know what...I'm so not waiting." So I said, "Excuse me, I hate to interupt..but can I have your autograph?" I got some glares...but who cares? I wanted an autograph, and a group of teen boys were not about to stand in my way. (go me.) :D
Then Taylor's mom and sisters walked to get something to drink with us...and at the Chick-fil-a tent they were selling Sharpies that said Chick-Fil-a Southpoint..and I was like, "oh man oh man...I don't have my wallet!! Oh well...I don't really need another sharpie..." But then Taylor's mom just bought me one. I tried to tell her that I didn't really want it...but that's the great thing about adults. They never listen to you. :)
We went back to the blanket and I whipped out my sharpie and said to the boys, "Look...a Chick-fil-a Sharpie!!" and Jake jumped up and said, "Where did you get the sharpie?" I said, "at the chick-fil-a tent..." and he said, "We have to go now. We have to go now." So, Taylor, Jake, Mark, Timothy, and I walked back over so Jake could buy some sharpies.
After he bought 2, we just kinda stood there not waiting to brave the mud to go back...So Jake and I whipped out our sharpies and pretending they were lightsabers...
he said, "Well I have two, so that's better."
and I said, "Well, I'm evil so mine's double ended, so, uh, I'm going to win." and I started spinning the sharpie between my fingers (yes I have great skills) and Jake said, "WOW HOW DO YOU DO THAT?!" and he tried doing it and all that happened was he almost dropped his sharpie in the mud.
We started talking about..oh I don't know what it was...but Jake asked Taylor what grade she is in, and of course she said 8th..and Jake said, "HA! I'm a freshman, so I'm older than you!" and I asked him how old he is cause Taylor kept on saying he's 12..he said he is 14. I was like, "HA!! Taylor I told you he's not 12!!" I love being right. :P
After we got back to the blankets we worked hard on convincing the adults to led us go down and listen to Jeramy Camp. Finally Taylor's mom said she would take us. Yay!!

Mr. Camp and his band. :)

Sweet picture...if only those hands weren't there....

guitarist...love his hair...and plus he is cute. :) Taylor didn't think so and Jake said he looked glum...but I like glum-ness. lol

His message is kinda serious but I do like the music...
One of Taylor's sisters had to go potty so we made our way across the crowd...Taylor, the boys, and I waited for Mrs. Taylor's mom to come back and then we all voted and everyone wanted to go back to the blankets except for Taylor. We went back. We were just sitting there and some how I ended up looking at Jake's jacket...and I fell in love with it. It's from Billabong, and it's really warm...ok here's me wearing it. Taylor took it and I look funny...but I love that jacket..must get it...
(picture deleted cause I look really bad.) x[
ok almost done...
blah blah..we got in the cars...spent FOREVER getting out of the park. Me and Taylor made faces at Mark and Jake the whole time. They were sticking glowsticks up their noses..and at the time it was really really funny. Now, it probably wouldn't be as funny. But anyway...Taylor's sister fell asleep..then Taylor fell asleep...I almost did..I would have but I had my contacts in and I didn't have any re-wetting drops.

Tuesday, October 3, 2006 Discovery Days-week 1
ok, I am going to post about Awakening Fest..hopefully with pictures!! soon. when I have time. and hopefully I won't forget. :)
This is a copy of an e-mail to a friend...I thought why re-type everything? I just took out the really personal stuff. :)
Ok so we get there..blah blah blah...my mom is the head of the nursery...I tryed to go into the big room, but the doors to get in were locked so I had to wait....and then Sam said that she thought she knew the way..and thank goodness she did cause I really didn't want to get lost in there. I would never find my way out!! They would find me days later starving from only eating mints....
Anyways, I walked in...and walked over to where Michael, Ashley, Ashley W, and Mandy were standing. First thing I noticed was Michael's hair...I said, "Wow! We have the same haircut!" He said, "no...your's is longer.." But really our hair looks alot alike. weird. Mandy looks really summery with her blonde highlights. Ashley W. looked like Ashley W. Ashley (Mike's sister) looked the same. We found out that our class was going to be cooking. I was really really excited cause I LOVE to cook..and plus that meant I would do really well...and also there probably wouldn't be any homework. :)
Oh yeah, a boy named John who was here last year is in our class too, and so is this kid named Josh...he wasn't here last year. But josh isn't really in our class...more about that later.
We walked to the Annex, I walked with Ashley. Our teachers are Mrs. Shelly who helped w/ art last fall and this other lady whose named I can't remember. We made Lasana and Salad. Then we got to eat it. Actully we didn't get to eat the one we made cause it would take too long to cook. Instead we ate one Mrs. Shelly made. yummy!! and we had bread with it. And soda.
While we were cooking, Ashley W. says, "oh yeah, my brother is coming for P.E." I thought that meant just for that one time but after we ate we went outside and Ashley's brother starts talking about how he's going to be doing P.E. with us. Coolness!! He's really nice and fun.
We played Dodge Ball. I had Ashley (mike's sister) and Josh and some junior highers on my team. First round: I'm out before I was even in. somehow I ended up across from Mike so when I ran up for the ball, he grabbed it and poked me with it. great. we won that round. 2nd round: I stayed in alittle longer. we won again. 3rd round: stayed in even longer. go me!! we lost though. :( 4th round: I was doing great. dodging mike's balls left and right...he seemed to have it in for me. yeesh! then he threw it and it was coming toward my knee...I tried jumping out of the way...but it hit. :( we won that round.
Sometime during all that, Josh said something about something...not sure...but anyway what came out was that he isn't really in the high school class. He's in the 8th grade and thus is supposed to be in the junior high class. Not that I blame him for wanting to be in our class...mmm...cooking or presidents and current events...mmmm not a hard choice. he was nice and won 2 of the rounds all by himself.
When we started walking back I asked Mike about his gf...he said all was well. (my words) but the convo ended there. I ended up walking with his sister. She's really nice and I think I could become pretty good friends with her..she's really quiet which is great since I'm loud. :)
anyways all in all it was a nice start to D-days. |

Saturday, August 26, 2006 2 other bands I love...
Wednesday, June 28, 2006 Skillet
Skillet is my new favorite band!! On Monday we were at the Springfield Mall...and I was bored so I asked my mom if I could go to F.Y.E. (a music store). I spent FOREVER trying to find the Christian music section...and finially I asked where it was....I HAD WALKED PASSED IT LIKE 20 TIMES!!!!! It was one teeny-tiny section...:( but anyways...I was looking looking..mmmmhhmmhhh....looking at the Newsboys, Kutlass, Mercy Me...all like 18 dollars, which to me is way too much to spend on a cd...then I saw Skillet...I was like *thought bubble* Hey, I've heard of them!! Jessica (an old friend) liked them!! and since we shared the same taste in music....I'll probably like them too!! *end thought bubble* First time I've ever bought a cd without ever having heard the group before........I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. I put the cd in the car to listen to it...first song starts out with loud guitars....my mom was like, "NO!! turn it off!! I can't handle it" Let's just say I loved them right from then. *wink wink* haha |
