Apr. 4, 2007 - Not Much To Say Today

    WW2 Quote of the Day
Dwight D. Eisenhower- " In the final choice a soldier's pack is not so heavy as a prisoner's chains."

Today is my mom and dad's 20th anniversary.  Unfortunately my mom is sick today, she has been for a while.  I have been reading for the past few days about WW1-2 and the Bermuda Triangle.  This morning I read about British and German ships of WW2.  It's very cool, I'll have to tell you later about it.  Yesterday I detailed our van, it took me about two hours to get it nice and new looking.  And when my dad saw it he was overwhelmed.

Later

Please pray for my mom.

Apr. 2, 2007 - South Carolina

WW2 Quote of the Day
Dwight D. Eisenhower"I have found out in later years that we were very poor, but the glory of America is that we didn't know it then."

On Friday morning my family and I went to South Carolina.  It took about seven hours to get up there; my grandfather let us take his van because it has a DVD player, to pas time.  We watched Holly's dumb Hannah Montana shows 1st then Open Season.  That was funny.  When we got to our destination, we spent a lot of time talking with our friends there.  Mainly the adults.  They have two children, an 11 year old girl and a 6 year old boy.  Hannah spent time with the girl most of the time and Holly played with the boy like the whole time that we were there. (holly plays with anyone that she can boss around with)  The day that we got there both of our families went to Dean's baseball game.  (The 6 year old.)  His team creamed the other.  The next day we played games out side all day long. Then we went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant.  After that we went back to their house and watched Benchwarmers, which is one of my and my dad's favorite comedies.  The next day was Sunday we went to a church that we are very close to in Lexington County SC.  And had a great time, my dad got to preach that Sunday too.  When church was over we went to a Chinese restaurant, me and my dad live off Chinese food.  After talking to a lot of people that were at the church and the missionary guest that were there too we had to head back to Alabama.  So we had our good byes and left SC.  On the way back we watched Equilibrium and The Ringer. We got back safely and had a good nights sleep.

PS please pray for my mom, shes feeling real sick.

Mar. 29, 2007 - All My Stuff

WW2 Quote of the Day

Winston Churchill-   "However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results."

I keep on trying to find something for something that I need real bad.  So then after 30 mins, I remember that it’s on the way here on a container.  Just the other day I asked if we had brought over the tripod for our video camera.  So I have to wait for a few weeks for all of my stuff to get here.  Life for example, Guys you would be dying if your music, sports, games, movies would come in about a month, right.? And girls same thing but with clothes, music and makeup, am I right?

Well that’s it for now, please be praying for our container to arrive safely.

Mar. 28, 2007 - Flight 19

WW2 Quote of the Day
Winston Churchill- "Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference."

I went to the library the other day and got some books.  I was looking for WW 1 books but they did not have what I was looking for.  I also tried to look for some books about Nicola Tesla.  So I found some books about the Bermuda Triangle. Today I read about the Flight 19.  A training run of 5 TBF Avenger Bombers flying over the Atlantic. They were reported missing on December 5th 1945.   While flying high on a clear sunny day, all of a sudden the sky was cloudy and stormy (I read other myths about the triangle and the stormy weather always looked like dark golden yellow milky clouds).  The leader, Lt. Taylor was not aware of the disappearing in the triangle.  He had already gotten lost three times in World War 2.  Taylor was the only one out of the 5 who had magnetical problems.  They knew that they had to be off course.  They were able to communicate with the naval base and the last thing Lt. Charles Carroll Taylor said was, "We are completely lost, we're going to..."

100s of US navy ships made a search for the Flight 19.  A PBM Mariner (Navy plane that could land on water) vanished also while trying to find the 5 Avenger and was never
heard of again, nor was the flight 19.

Mar. 25, 2007 - Its My Birthday, Its My Birthday!

     WW2 Quote of the Day
Winston Churchill- "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."

March 25th, my 16th Birthday.  I went to a Mexican restaurant that I personally did not care for.  But I got 90 dollars.  I told mom and dad and the rest of the world not to have those waiters put a 25 foot long hat on my head.  But at the end they put one on me, they also baptized me in whip cream.  I didn't get a car (sadly) but oh well.  My two uncles and their families came also my grandmother and 2nd cousin.

Mar. 23, 2007 - Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End

   WW2 Quote of the Day
Major Devereux- "Don't fire until you can see the whites of their eyes." 1941

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End is coming out May 25th 2007!  I am so pumped to watch it.  The last ones were awesome.  I love the 1st one because of the story and the 2nd one because of Hans Zimmer's music.  No Duh, my favorite character is Captain Jack Sparrow, then Elisabeth, Will, Davy.  My favorite part in the trailer above is the scene where Jack and Davy are in the middle of a sword duel.  I just love the choreography.  Oh and the whirl pool part is cool too.

Mar. 22, 2007 - Church Cook Out

Yesterday my sister Hannah and I went to a youth group.  We played a lot of games and ate hamburgers, chips and I had about three bottles of water.  I first played American Football which I was not really good at.  Then I played Volleyball I was all right and the last game was kickball now that I was good at even after not playing for five years.  Oh and I also swung on a rubber swing!

Mar. 21, 2007 - Shopping for a New Wardrobe

         WW2 Quote of the Day

"Nuts" said General MacAuliffe when he was asked to surrender by the Germans during the Battle of the Bulge.  The bloodiest battle for the Americans in World War II was in 1944.

A few days ago my dad took me to a store to find some more clothes for me.  I just got some camo shorts, two black sweaters and two t-shirts.  One of the t-shirts says "There are no stupid questions just stupid people."  The other has the Mustang symbol on it.  I personally hate to go shopping for clothes but for some reason I just had to get new shorts and a few new t-shirts.  My dad said "I'm so disappointed that my son is now interested in buying clothes. " But I said that that was just a one time thing.  I also told him for him to watch and see me go without getting new close for the next eight months or so.  On the others hand my sister Hannah has to buy a new shirt or something once or maybe twice a week.  But that’s just girls.

Mar. 20, 2007 - My 16th Brithday is in Five More Days

WW2 Quote of the day
"The atom bomb was no 'great decision.' . . . It was merely another powerful weapon in the arsenal of righteousness." President Harry Truman

I'll be turning 16 in just five more days.  I hope to go bowling with some friends and getting a 17-18 inch paintball barrel would be nice too.  I need to get some more practice in driving before I get a license because I lived in Romania most of my 15th year.  I would like to work at Chick-fil-a some time soon so that I can get my own money to get stuff like a cell phone and maybe a car later on.  Turning 16 is a scary thought.  It's the age that most teens want to be.

Mar. 14, 2007 - Back in America to Stay

As you may know about the very emotional move from Romania to come back to America permanently, I thought that I would tell you what’s going on right now.  I am a little lonely because I do not have my best of friends here and I know that I will never be able to make as good of friends that I have there.  I know deep down in my heart that America is the best country in the world, but there’s something about Romania that I like a lot.  There’s too many things about it so if you have any questions about Romania ask me.  If it's about the kids, store, people, road, and castles ask me, if its about politics ask my dad.  I'm also all open for World War II questions.

Later, Oh and the airplane trip on the way here was the quickest we have ever had.

Mar. 11, 2007 - What's Up With Me

Sorry that I do not write all the time. It seems to me that when ever I'm with my friends here in Romania my blog interest drops to zero.  But when I'm in the states I'm in business.  So now you know what’s wrong with me.  Ever since I heard that we might be going back to America to live my heart cracked.  Now to me leaving all my good friends and the city where I grew up is a better reason to be broken hearted than getting dumped by some stupid girl.  That's just me.  I am going to miss Romania a ton, I have had so much adventure in Romania in the past five years starting at age 11 to 16.  I will try to tell you more about my life in Romania later.  Please be praying for my family and especially me.  Thank you so much.

Jan. 29, 2007 - Call of Duty 3

My grandparents gave me Call of Duty 3 last Christmas.  I have been playing it for a while now and I love it.  It's a game that gives you a taste of the second world war, with great missions in France that comes with Activision's best graphics.  The game is rated T for teen for violence and mild language.  It's an awesome game for you gamers.  If I had the money to buy a game this would be the first one I'd pick up from the shelf.  My favorite part about the game more than the second Call of Duty is when a German throws a grenade at you, you just pick it back up and throw it back at him.  Call of Duty 3 has great multiplayer, you can drive in Motorcycles, jeeps and tanks.  If your team mate is killed and if you are a medic you can go to your guy and heal him back.

Its a great game and it is even better for the Xbox 360.

Jan. 23, 2007 - We Went Through Chaos from Six in the Morning until 5 in the Morning

On Thursday we got up and got ready for the Big Trip.  Then we left for the airport at two in the afternoon.  Once we were sitting down waiting for the plane to arrive, my dad found out that Amsterdam was closed for bad weather and our flight was cancelled.  So then we packed up and went back to my grandparents’ house.  I was very disappointed.  But, the airport found us some tickets for the next day; it was an extremely much longer trip.  To make a story that was over 36 hours long, short; we got up at 6 in the morning on Friday, went to the airport at 8, and left at 10 and arrived in Detroit an hour and a half later.  This trip had four planes to take, one from Alabama to Detroit, Detroit to New Jersey, NJ to Amsterdam(which had a 14 hour lay over), and from Amsterdam to Romania.  And to get to my house form the Romanian airport takes 3 hours.  The trip was over 36 hours and I only got about 2 hours of sleep. Once we got home it was 5 in the morning.  Fortunately the flight form Detroit to NJ was canceled and we got new tickets again to go strait to Amsterdam.  Now I am back in my room playing XBOX and with my friends and also typing this entry in my very own bed room.

That’s it for now stay tuned for more.

Next I’ll try to blog about the games that I have and make a review.
