My two oldest boys and their dad went to a gun & knife show today. My oldest son loves trap shooting and works at the local gun club. I figure I'm pretty well protected at our house!
Hey that's great Luke! And I never told you I went shooting with Daddy a long time ago? Yup! I did!
Well, we went to this father/daughter camp for two days, and the least age you could be was six. Well, thankfully, I had turned six recently and so I could go. Daddy and I hiked around, climbed huge boulders, shot bows, and went to a place were we could shoot guns. I don't remember what kind of gun it was cuz' it was so long ago, but the fun part is that Daddy and me went by ourselves a little way uphill away from the others to a place where there was an old dead log. Daddy tried a few shots which got pretty close to the middle, and then he said, "( my real name ) do you want to try?" Boy, did I ever! He handed the gun to me and showed me how to hold it. "Now point it at the log," he said, "and try to hit the middle." I turned the gun towards the log and aimed. Then with a "boom" I fired! It didn't hit the middle. I fired again. It still didn't. Daddy told me I could try one more time. I lifted the gun, sighted down the barrel, and fired! It-hit-just-half-an-inch-short-of-the-middle!!! Daddy looked at me and smiled. "Did I hit it?" I asked. He showed me the mark. "Wow!" I said. It was sooo awsome! I loved it!
that is sooooooooooooo cool! I've never shot a real gun before.
I would like to though.

Have you ever played a game called "Need For Speed"? well we have the demo and it's really FUN! We hooked up the steering wheel. (john even put his helmet on!) It's really realistic when your in the bumper mode( it's when you feel like you're really inside, at least I do.)
