And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

Our Plum Tree
Posted on Mar. 12, 2007 at 7:55 AM in In My Garden

We planted our plum tree just about 8 years ago. It has been the slowest fruiting tree of our six fruit trees. The most blossoms that it has ever had … about, maybe, possibly 30. Fruit … about 10 the year I hand pollinated. Until this year! It is absolutely covered in blossoms. The tree has either matured and come unto it’s own or our really cold, long winter (for Arizona) was what it needed. It is beautiful!
See the happy bee?

We have a plum tree. We planted a few years ago so its not bearing any fruit. That would be fun though!

We had our first plum from one of our 2 trees last year. I had to divide it 4 ways so we could all have a taste :). I think the other tree is dead. Hopefully we will get more plums this year and a replacement. All of our little trees are still pretty buried in snowbanks. (Now, you were saying about long cold winters? lol)

Praise the Lord for Happy bees! Without them we are fruitless! I hope the Lord blesses you with plenty of jam and a Pie Little Jack Horner would be pleased to stick his thumb in.

Lovely! It was fun to stop by and see how the kefir babies are doing! And I enjoyed your beautiful pictures. We occasionally have a pair of Flickers that come to a feeder in our yard and they are beautiful to see.
Happy Spring!
