And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

First treat/sweet/dessert in 1 year, 1 month and 23 days ...
Posted on Dec. 12, 2005 at 8:48 AM in Rambling Thoughts
Last Friday night I had my first treat/sweet/dessert in 1 year, 1 month and 23 days. Last Christmas my sister gave us gift certificates to Cold Stone Creamery. They expire this month so off we went. I had been giving some thought to what I would break my treat/sweet/dessert fast with and thought it would be cheese cake. I was soooooo disappointed in my treat. It seems over a year of no sugar ruins the taste buds to it. I had a small vanilla ice cream with Heath bar in it. I ate about half the ice cream, most of the heath and threw away the rest. It left a bitter taste in my mouth, gave me a headache across the top of my head, a stomach and a general icky feeling all over. It was so not worth it!

That's an awful long time with no sweets!!! ;o) What made you decide to do that? I really need to cut out sweets. I did it for about 6 months but that was a few years ago and things seem more out of control now than before.
ouch

wow, that hurts my flesh to hear. You are very disciplined to stay away from all that stuff. I feel challenged by what you share. Thanks.
