Curriculum Choices

I love researching and reviewing homeschool materials. I started my research when I was pregnant with our firstborn (who is now 7). I am happy to say that I am now thrilled with all the programs I am using. I am by no means a curriculum hopper, but we *have* switched programs a few times. After 7 years of research, I'm convinced that the programs we have chosen are among the finest on the market. I'm particularly impressed with Spell to Write and Read & RightStart Math. The philosophy and methodology behind these two programs is brilliant and unrivaled, in my opinion. So, for those who have asked, here is where we have landed. I am very confident that we will be here for a very long time.
- Phonics/Spelling -- Spell to Write and Read
- Math -- RightStart
- Penmanship -- Cursive First
- Typing -- Typing Instructor
- Science -- God's Design
- History -- Truth Quest w/Guerber Spines
- Grammar -- Rod & Staff
- Writing -- Classical Composition
- Latin -- Memoria Press
- Art -- Drawing with Children & Draw Squad
- Music -- Peter and the Wolf & Carnival of the Animals

I am really enjoying the Truthquest, which I found through someone's blog, and Spell to Write and Read. Those are my favorites. God has really blessed us to give us so many wonderful curriculums at this time of homeschooling.
