A Tribute

Posted in Personal

To my husband on this Fourth of July

  • Thank you for being the one who will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic.
  • Thank you for being the one who will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.
  • Thank you for taking the hard jobs when no one else would.
  • Thank you for supporting your troops and defending the little guys.
  • Thank you for sticking with it, even when it gets hard.
  • Thank you for doing what is right, even when others disagree.
  • Thank you for putting your family first.
  • Thank you for making this world a safer place to live.
  • Thank you for making us proud to be a military family.

Through your wisdom, strength, and guidance you are making a difference in the world we live in. But it is in our own family where your influence is the greatest. Thank you for standing strong in your convictions to raise a godly family. Even though we are apart this Fourth of  July, know that we are so proud of you for serving our country and we can't wait until you come home.

What a beautiful tribute to your hubby!
Thank you for sharing that.

By the way, you asked where I got the pictures that I posted for my July 4th post. I got them from a vintage postcard site. The web address is: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hollow/2366/postcards/postcards.htm

Have a great week!

Jul. 11, 2006 - Tears

I headed over to "meet" you after you left a comment on my blog, and have been scrolling up through your entries. This entry and photo bought tears to my eyes. I am looking forward to getting to know you better. The grasp of honour that you have is inspiring and I am grateful that God puts people in our paths to show us things about Himself.

May. 29, 2008 - Your page on your husband

Posted by Nancy
My husband gave 20 years in the Air Force, so I guess I did too, in the dependent line of work. I too home schooled our children for 6 years, and encourage others to do it. Esp since California is already taking that right from us parents. We are in Ohio, and senior citizens now. It is refreshing to read about your courage and love for our country, and family. So many people these days seem to have their heads buried in the sand...not facing life, expecting everything to be handed to them on a silver platter. Not the case with you and your family. With God's grace may he bless and prosper all you do and all other families like yours, as well. It is nice to know the true American spirit lives on.
