Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History - New Educational Center
The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History, located in
Kennesaw, has opened a great new educational center for children.
Along with the interactive center, they are offering lots of fun,
new programs for kids of all ages. My son and I frequent the
museums in our area, so we learned of these programs while there.
They are offering fun and educational Kids' Workshops (my son has
attended one and really enjoyed it), special Homeschool Days with
programs and activities for homeschoolers, along with programs for
younger children. It's very reasonable and educational as well.
The last workshop was canceled because my son was the only sign-up!
I was very surprised, because this is such a fun program to be
offered to the public. The director of the programs mentioned that
she has limited budget for advertising, and so I offered to post a
few messages to the homeschool groups I have joined. I thought it
might help to get the word out a bit.
