HOMESPUN ANGELS FROM HEAVEN

Been busy busy busy...................

We have been busy, busy, busy!  Last week we met Donna and Haley at CiCi's for lunch and afterwards Madison and Haley decided  they wanted to spend the night so we rushed home and Madison cleaned the guinea pig cage by herself since Victoria was still on the mission trip and the we did some fast cleaning(I call it the 10 second tidy after the Comfy couch show). I really didn't feel like cleaning but afterwards I felt so glad we did. They painted nails, watched a video, played a game, and made peanut butter cookies.

Yesterday we went to the library and the Y pool and came home and made pizza stromboli and fruit salad with yogurt and cinnamon topping.

I have a few goals for this week and next. We leave for vacation next Friday so I have 9 days to get the house clean and pack. My main goal is to clean my room which ALWAYS ends up being the last room cleaned. Today and Thursday and next Monday I am letting Sunny boy out and this Wednesday I am bb sitting for church. Hopefully in between all that I will get the room cleaned. Oh and Friday Amy and Gary and the kids are staying with us passing through to Kentucky.

WFD: Not sure

Messy house=grouchy mommy

I just have to say Messy house=Grouchy mommy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I had to take Jacquelyn to the dr. because she had been running fever up to 102.4 but no symptoms. So I took her and the dr. drew blood and said it was viral. Not sure what kind of viral infection it is but praying it isn't the dreaded tummy. She is eating fine and seems pretty happy.

So I left the dr. and went to super buffet with Jacq. and then to Penney's to excahnge a shirt for Matt and then met him and sat and talked while he ate at Mcdonalds. Then I came home and took the girls to dollar tree since they had really been wanting to go but they had had a tea party and I told them they could clean up the mess when we got back since Jacq. was sleeping in the car. Went to dt and came back and they played in the "frinkler" for a long time. Actually Jacq. didn't play out there long but Mad and Amb. did. Then they came in and washed off and got on p.j.'s and ate and now as I look at the den/kitchen/living room it looks like a BOMB WENT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!They had a little TOO much fun while I was gone :oP

I am going to get the girls to clean up and I will fold laundry and start the dishwasher and maybe it won't feel so chaotic. It's like when the house is a wreck so is my patience and attitude :oP

WFD: FFY(Fend for yourself) Madison had ravioli and Amberley had pbj and Jacquelyn had vanilla yogurt and pbj. Not sure what Matt and I will eat.

Prayer request: Victoria on her mission trip.

Latest Updates...................

Here are the latest  updates:

Jacquelyn turned 2 !!!!!!!! My baby is not a baby anymore :*(

Amberley and Jacquelyn had their b-day parties at the neighborhood park. It was soooooooo hot. Upper 90's. Several of the co-op kids came and a little girl from church and Mama, Granny, Mona and Amy, Gary and the kids. We played sponge relay race(filled with water) and they stomped on bubble wrap(loud but great fun). They also played on the playground and made a discovery bottle with empty water bottles filled with rice and seaglass, glass stones and glitter and tropical confetti. We served hotdogs and cheetos/pretzels and cupcakes with little umbrellas with teddy grahams sunbathing under them. The girls got lots of neat gifts and we had the goody bags in a treasure chest made out of a cooler covered in tin foil.

Amy's girls stayed here for 5 days while Amy and Gary helped Mama. One day we went to Chucky cheese and another we went with Amy to the beach. There sure was a lot of giggling going on over here!!!!!!!!!!

The girls FINALLY got their rooms swapped. I am going to have to stay on them to keep them neat . I always feel so much better when the house is neat.

Today Victoria left for her mission trip with the youth to West Virginia for 9 days!!!!! She was nervous but I know she will have a good time. We miss her already!

WFD:

The past week we had:

Sloppy joes , fries and applesauce

Teriyaki chicken, yellow rice, corn on cob

Amberley is six!!!!!!

Today my 3rd baby is six!!!!!!! Time sure does fly! Amberley woke up and we got ready and met Matt at Applebees and had lunch and she and Jacquelyn opened presents since Jacq's bday is only 2 days away. Ambie got some dress up boots that make loud noises and Jacquelyn got a potato head type elmo toy and then together they got a sailboat pool and pool toys and magnetic fishing poles and don't break the ice game and elefun game(that one was recycled from the girls). We got home and Ambie had a minor meltdown(not sure why) and then we blew up the pool(in the house) and she played with it while Jacq. napped. The big girls are "supposedly" coming down the finish line cleaning their rooms. I say supposedly because it is hard to tell but they have a deal with Matt if they finish tonight then he is taking them to see Pirates 3 tomorrow(HIS DAY OFF). I am still plugging away on the house. Amy, Gary and girls will be here Friday and will be staying until Wednesday and the girls party is Saturday at the park.

WFD: Vic and Mad had leftovers from Applebees. Ambie and Jacq. had sandwiches and goldfish and I had loaded mashed potatoes. With all the cleaning I am not going to take the time or energy to stop and cook and do dishes.

Praise Report: I am thankful for God continuing to give me the stamina to get the house done day after day. Hope to be done by Friday and enjoy a clean decluttered house!

Room Swap

We are in the throes of "ROOM SWAP". Madison is moving out of Victoria's room and into Jacquelyn's old room. So now Victoria and Madison have their own rooms and Amberley and Jacquelyn are sharing. Madison is going with a frog theme and even though she has the smallest room I think if she keeps is neat it will be really cute. Victoria wants more space in her room and wants to put a table up for crafts so moving the other half the trundle bed out helped a little. I toted out HUGE BAGS of toys and junk. Still have more to work on this week. Also Amberley and Jacquelyn's bdays are this week and their party is Saturday at the park. So far not many have RSVP'd. I have heard from 2 that CAN"T come :o(  and 1 that can. Amy and Gary and the kids are coming so that's good :o)

Oh and Ambie has 2 loose teeth(her top 2)

WFD:Maybe pizza...yum!

Prayer Request: Brent Farmer

Praise Report: Bobby is cancer free!!!! PTL!!!!!

Also thankful Mona can watch the dog when we go on vacation!

SUMMER FUN

Today has been a lazy day........................................................................................

I was planning to work on the house since Amberley and Jacquelyn's parties are not this Saturday but next and it is at the park but if it rains it will have to be at the house. So anyway.....instead of cleaning up.... the weather was so nice that I went outside and cleaned out the plastic pool and filled it and we sat outside and Amberley swam even though the water was FREEZZZZZZZING COLD!  Jacquelyn walked around in the pool and Madison colored with chalk and Victoria knitted. I sat and made out a checklist for vacation and read magazines.  We have 38 days until vacation at the timshare..............I can't wait!!!!!

WFD: Beef with gravy over noodles, green beans, mandarin oranges

Prayer Request: Brent Farmer

Praise Report: I have been trying to save for vacation and today Pam called to see if I wanted to bbsit one day for a book study. Then later Beth called to see if I wanted to bbsit one night. Terrific!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SUMMER IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! SUMMER IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yippee ki ya ki yo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (clicking my imaginary boots with glee)-lol

Today was Madison's second(and last) day of testing. Victoria and Amberley and Jacquelyn and I went to Target and Big Lots and ate lunch at Super Buffet(my favorite restaurant). We wanted to meet Matt but he got tied up :o(

Then while waiting for Madison to finish they played on the playground and then we went by Krispy Kreme and got a doughnut. The girls had a free coupon from valentines day. Then Madison had been waiting for the bullfrog webkin to come in and it did so we went and got it. Then went to goodwill and I found Jacquelyn a pop up sesame street toy that sings for 99 cents! I looked it up online and it is regularly $20!!!!  She loves it but the songs are going to drive me crazy-lol

So with the beginning of summer here I am trying to decide what I would like to do......................................................................................................................................

. Of course once summer approaches  my mind is on vacation. We are going to the timeshare and can't wait!

Next I would like to continue decluttering and have the girls rooms switched around by the time school begins. Also since we joined the YMCA for summer I want to take full advantage of it and take the girls there to swim. The sprinkler area for kids is so cool!!!

Of course I also want to get together with our friends (Donna, Todd, Haley and Noah) and do fun things.

PLus I would love to spend time with my sister and am hoping they will be able to come for the girls bdays.

Well, that's it for now.......

WFD: Chicken nuggets and loaded mashed potatoes. Sadly not very balanced or healthy but it was what I came up with in a pinch. They are eating chocolate silk cake for dessert......does that count??????

Prayer Request: Brent Farmer(colon surgery), Bobby Carpenter(8 yr old cancer)

LONG TIME NO BLOG...................................

So I haven't been on this blogsite since I started back in August of 2006 but  after reading back through my blogs I decided to delete every single one!!!!!!!!!!! I noticed a pattern.  I seemed to always be talking about how tired I was or that I NEEDED to be decluttering but wasn't-lol

I decided to start fresh!! I will try to blog daily and also keep the WFD(What's for Dinner) and Prayer Request/Praise Reports. I'd like to add my daily goals but some days it's nice to just enjoy time with no goals.....just plain fun!!!

So here is the latest...................... The girls are 16, 13, 5(almost 6) and 1 (almost 2). I just had my bday a few days ago but we won't mention my age-lol

Today is our last day of school and Madison has testing on Wednesday and Thursday.

Just as I was doing 8 months ago I am STILL decluttering. It is an ongoing process. The girls are trading rooms. Most of our clutter is toys and clothes. I save clothes I know the younger girls will be able to wear.

Sometimes between cleaning up after the little ones and doing the normal cooking, dishes, laundry errands it seems I never have time to focus on the big projects. O.k. I admit it sometimes I feel like running errands just to get away from the clutter :oP

Anyway.......I will just keep plugging along and one day (fingers crossed) I will feel at peace with the house.

For something fun we joined the YMCA for the summer. So far we have been to the pool/sprinkler area a few times. The weather has been a little wacky.  I look foward to going more! I am debating on taking an aerobics class......

Prayer Requests: Bobby Carpenter(8yr old with cancer), Mama to sell her house. (She moved into her condo with Granny about a month ago)

WFD: Double Decker Tacos and apples.
