This past week, I found and signed up at www.BiblePlan.org. This website lets you choose from several different Bible reading plans and select your favorite Bible translation. Then each day they'll email you links to the current day's chapters, so you can read it online if you want to. I selected a plan that has me reading four chapters per day, two each from the OT and NT, where I'll read the OT once and the NT twice by the end of the year.I started to read the Bible through last year, and actually wasn't too far from finishing, but I got sidetracked in "studying" instead of just reading. Maybe if I do my daily reading online, I'll get through the whole Bible...it's when I start flipping back & forth following references, and reading notes at the bottom of the pages, that I get bogged down.
Not that there's anything wrong with studying the Bible...I'll do that too, but it will have to be at a different time, so I can complete my yearly goal.
I may end up spreading my daily reading throughout the whole day...maybe log on in the morning, read a chapter, maybe another at lunchtime, another in the late afternoon, and another at night...I guess I'll have to see how it goes.
