Song Lyrics
Here are some song lyrics by Barlow Girl and a newer girl named Brooke Berrettsmith (she's awesome).
I really like the words to these songs so I thought I would share them.
So here they are!
Father by Brooke-
I know You see when You look at me
A precious child
Who wants to be just like You
Walk in Your footsteps
You watched over me when I was growing
Now that I'm older I can say
Thank you for saving my soul
Oh Father
I thank you for giving me hope
Oh Father
I promise my love to You
And I will follow You always
My Father
I must confess sometimes it's easy
To lose my focus
You can see when I start to forget
So gently remind me
You're watching over me 'cause I'm still growing
And You're still showing me grace
I never could have imagined
How wonderful life could be with You
And now my heart belongs to You
I am Yours
I am Yours
Farewell by Brooke-
Vs 1:
Hotel stationary
Pour your heart out
Your life, your story
Write it down
You gotta write it down
Tear-stained pages
Going up in flames
When the smoke hits the ceiling
Will the memories fade?
Chorus:
Say farewell to
All of your mistakes
Forgive yourself
It’s a brand new day
Vs 2:
Night turns to morning
You wonder why nothings changed
Do you really want forgiveness?
Or just the pain to go away?
Put pen to paper
This time for a different aim
The future is redemption
Your story of escape
Chorus:
Say farewell to
All of your mistakes
Forgive yourself
It’s a brand new day
Bridge:
Salvation is waiting for you
Your heavy heart can be carried for you
Mirrow by Barlow Girl-
Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Have I got it?
'Cause Mirror you've always told me who I am
I'm finding it's not easy to be perfect
So sorry you won't define me
Sorry you don't own me
Who are you to tell me
That I'm less than what I should be?
Who are you? Who are you?
I don't need to listen
To the list of things I should do
I won't try, I won't try
Mirror I am seeing a new reflection
I'm looking into the eyes of He who made me
And to Him I have beauty beyond compare
I know He defines me
You don't define me, you don't define me
Average Girl by Barlow Girl-
So what I'm not your average girl
I don't meet the standards of this world
Chasing after boys is not my thing
See I'm waiting for a wedding ring
No more dating
I'm just waiting
Like sleeping beauty
My prince will come for me
No more dating I'm just waiting
'Cause God is writing my love story
Boys are bad that's certainly not true
'Cause God's preparing one for you
If you get tired waiting till he comes
Gods arms are the perfect place to run
Sleep that's the only thing
For me 'cause when I sleep Gods
Preparing one for me
These are songs that speek to me. Even though I just heard Brooke for the first time last night!
Both BarlowGirl and Brooke Berretsmith are amazing and inspiring!!
If you get the change kinda look into Brooke. She is a really awesome new artsist. If you are wondering..she is christian. lol
Anyway...just thought I would share those with you.
REMEMBER- YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL...NO MATTER WHAT THIS WORLD SAYS...
BE MODEST
BE A GOD FOLLOWER IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE!
Have an awesome day!
God Bless,

Screaming 4 Food!
Exodus 20:6
"...Showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me..."
I assume that you know what I am going gto talk about but if not, don't worry!, you'll soon find out so enough.
First I will tell you why I thought I would write this entry!
A couple days ago at about 9:00 at night out time my little brother cam down stairs and qwickly explained why he was so upset.
He said that earlier when we got a peice of bread he took his upstairs to eat. But when my mom called him back down he set the bread down soon forgetting about it.
When he went up for bed he found it all hard and icky...so he had to throw it away. As he did he thought about all the little kids around the world "screaming 4 food" whicle we stuffed our mouth or threw away edible food.
Thinking about this I thought it would be a good subject for us to talk about.
My brother was VERRY right! Kids and Adults are starving! People are working ahrd to make a difference and you know what???...we coule make a difference too verry easlily!
There are lots of placed that take donations at different times. You could do simple things like not buying that really good candy at the store and maybe buying some bread and donating it.
You could make little food bag/basket things and hand them to people on the side of the road.
I know you all are creative so use that creativness for helping people!...aka pleasing God.
Though that doesn't meen you have to use this you can do other things too...=D
Anyway...so just think about ways you could help the starving. Think about how much food you get...THREE MEALS A DAY!..or more.
Well thats all I have to say about that!
One more thing to say is to pray for the people being hit by the hurricane.
Its kinda messy. So be sure to keep them in your prayers.
Well hope you all have a wonderful day!
God Bless!

a long awaited entry...~*Friends*~
Hi there!
I apoligize for not writting in so long. We have been busy...which you all probably understand.
It is Summer...right?! =)
Well in the summer we all love to hang out with our friends and such.
Well I was I thinking...since we haven't written an entry in so long why not write one about something I've been strougling with and something that I can relate to.
So I'm going to write about "Friends".
I'll be talking about how precious they are to us and how hard it is when they leave.
I know I love having friends!!...You can tell them secrets...spend the night at their house....tell scary stories....maybe with you guys friends you could go camping with your familys....go roll in the dirt....fish...draw....read a book together....anything that you both enjoy to do.
I have had some hard times with friends....I wont deny it....but my mom always says that you can learn from it. Theres prety much always if you think about it....something to learn.
Anyway...
So
What do you like about friends?
God gave us friends for many reasons. One is to give us someone to have besides family...to love...to care for....to cry with....to give hugs....to screem at....to giggle with....and so on.
I'm gonna give some verses and you all post some comments and maybe start a conversation.
Lets talk about this and be friends. =D
Here are the verses:
1John 1:6-7
If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by truth.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us from all sin.
luv ya girls!!

God's Calling
Reicently we got asked how you know when God is calling you.
So "How do you?"
God already has a calling for all of us to follow him.
We also kinda have individual callings. All of us have our own unique talent...God may "CALL" us to use
that talent ,or whatever, to witness to people.
It is a hard thing to know FOR SURE that God is calling you....and I'm having a hard time with talking about it.
The best thing you can do is "prepare your feild"....do you know what that means?
It means that you should prepare yourself for when God comes back...also it can be used as preparing yourself for God's calling.
You dont want to not know anything about the bible or little things like maybe languages or laws or something like that, and have to go to another country, state, or even NEXT DOOR!
If you feal like you are getting a calling....dont just jump right into it.....kinda....take some time and pray about it. Make sure its what God wants you to do....and talking to your parents would be good idea too.
You can even ask your friends and family to pray with you.
I do not have really anything to say for it is a hard subject....for me anyway.
If you have some thoughts about it or something like that "PLEASE POST A COMMENT" and we will try and get back to you ASAP.
I am going to put some verses below for you to read.
Have an awesome day!
~GodlyGirls~
Psalm 145:18-
The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
Romans 10:12-
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--
the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him.
Ephesians 4:1-
As a prisoner for the Lord,
then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the CALLING you have received.
James4:10-
Huble yourselves before the Lord,
and he will lift you up.
Remember: We want to hear from you! =D If you have a question...ASK IT!

U-NiQUE YOU
Hello again!!
This morning as always my mom calls us all down to have a little fam mtg or a run through of the day.
But as always someone asks a question and she starts going on and on with her answer or reply.
This time my younger brothers said something about us being animals. She wasn't to happy about that
so we got her as we called it her "Sermon" or her "bible study". And when she was done I thought it would be kinda cool to share it with you!
It's not going to be exactly like what she said but it's what she said...except shorter. lol
So I guess I should start.
We as humans are NOT animals. God made us to be something more. When we think that we our animals...we think down upon ourselves and that's not what God wants.
Now I'm not trying to say that we should be prideful but that we should honor what we are and not treat it like junk.
Maybe you have heard of the Crocodile Hunter aka Steve Urwin. He dies not to long ago.
But one thing that makes you sad when he would look at an animal and say how beautiful and wonderful it was but not know who really made it and really understand it's perpous and beauty.
And for another thing he thinks he’s just like this animal...or maybe even was made from this animal!!
God made us separate from the animals.
The animals are animals...and we are humans/people. I'm not trying to be....critical or whatever...but I'm just trying to make a statement. (Just so you know)
So for all you animal lovers...I love them too but we just have to understand we are different.
Another part of my mom's "Sermon" was talking about how no one...no other human...or anything else is like you.
You where made special and no one can be like you and you can't be like anyone.
I think we have kinda covered this topic but I think I'll go over it a little bit more...if I have...if not then I'll start it!
I want you to look into a mirror and think or say what you look like and all the AWESOME things God made you with. And what you are today.
You can do this with a friend if you would like and maybe talk about it and do each other.
You can talk about how you look different...and how you are unique and special in your own way.
These days when someone is somewhere and looks at lets say a girl and in their min/says "THEY are ugly!" But then turn around and say "Oh! She's HOT!" lol. But it's true...and it's not right!
Both of them are pretty, unique, and both of them are God's WONDERFUL creation!
I think that I have said enough for today. I'll let you suck this all in and breathe.
I'm going to post some verses to go with this and a link to a website that I think would be cool for you to check out.
I'll be posting another entry soon. Don't forget we love to hear from you so post a comment or send us a message if you would like.
We also would like to hear from you about any ideas for topics on here.
Well I should go so I'll ttyl!

In God's timing
Dear Teen/Tween,
I will not get rid if this blog. *cheering* *sigh of relief*lol
Anyway, I was partly going to get rid of it b/c of the reason Ashley said
and I wanted to make a difference! And since I guess I wasn't getting any feed back I thought maybe
it would be good to make a new start with a new blog. I realized that I was rushing things and should know that if God wants to use this blog...he will!
So as I was planning this entry and such I thought I could do an entry about that!
So today’s entry will be about "God's Timing"...not our own.
There are many things these days that us as teen/tween girls look forward to.
Some of them might be driving, getting your own car, making money, anything that you can think of.
There are other things that girls alone long for like maybe getting married, having kids, dating, something a little earlier like make up, or something like that.
But what we should remember is that we should not rush that and put it in God's hands and in God's control. I know one girl at my church was upset b/c all the girls at her school would wear make up but she couldn't b/c her mom thought she was to young for that.
But in that situation she could go to God and ask for patience and put her problems into God's hands to happen in his timing. Which always turns out for the better though it mat not seem like it.
There are things like having a boyfriend, getting to date, or getting married.
Part of the reason people get divorced these days is because they did not wait for God to bring along
the right husband/wife for them/ Instead they went out and looked for themselves.
When they do that things like getting divorced happen and it's a very sad thing.
One song that has always been an encourager to me is a song called "Average Girl" by BarlowGirl.
It talks about waiting for God to bring along the right man for you.
Another one that BarlowGirl does is called "surrender" which talks about gicing up you life and putting it in his hands just like we have been talking about.
(If I make a play list I'll put those songs onto it and tell you when I do.)
Anyway another good example is all those princess that we hear about. All of them wait for true love to come and take them away instead of looking for him.
Keep this all in your mind and think about it..."Are you spending your time for God?"
Here are some verses that go with what I talk about today.
Look them up and if you would like pray about what you have read today.
I'll be posting another entry soon. Hope you have an AWESOME day in God's time.
1 Tomothy 2:11, Lamentation 3:23-24, Psalm 139:23

Maybe that's why Rachsters was going to delete it, because she thought that no one was reading them. So please leave a comment! friendships
Well since I felt like I should I thought I would write an entry about friendships.
okay... how to start this?
Well for one friends are precious thing in life and when u have on u want it to be a good one.
You want to be able to tell them things like when ur hurt about something or u have something AWSEOME that just happened!
You want to be able to tell them ur feelings.
You can also have more than one bff. Like I (Rachsters) have 3!
One is a boy and 2 r girls. You can also have bffs that are boys!
I doesn't matter what gender they r. =) They can still be a friend and u can still tell them stuff.
Anyway...
Think about what u like in a person... is that what ur friend is like? Do u have things that are in common and Not in common? It's okay if ur different!!
Like say if ur bff was a boy you might not have a lot in common but u can still be friends and have good conversations. =)
I should go but maybe I'll continue this l8er.
Just think about it!

Temptation
Hey, Guys! This is Ashley. Don't you just love the new template that Jen (Doglvr) made? I love it! Anyways... for the next post, I wanted to tell you a little about temptation. Where it comes from, how you can stop it, and all about it. First, as you most likely already know, it comes from the Devil, or Satan. Temptation could be him making you want to do something you know is a sin, or him putting thoughts into your mind and trying to make you believe them. When he tries to put thoughts into your mind that you know are not true, or makes you think of things you should not be thinking about, you just tell him to go away. It will work. Just 1.tell him to go away, 2.prove to yourself how the thought is wrong, and 3.put the thought completely out of your mind. Satan does it all of the time to me, and I do exactly what I just told you! But if he put thoughts into your mind that you should not be thinking about, just skip number 2. Instead, tell yourself why it is wrong to be thinking about that. Now- to get away from when Satan makes you want to do something you know is wrong, you need one thing- self-control. You need the self control to walk away from what he wants you to do. For example- if he wants you to take something that is not yours, you need self control to walk away from the thing that he would make you want to steal. Tell Satan to go away, and tell yourself to not take the thing that he made you want to steal! And remember that the Bible says, "Flee from the devil, and he will flee from you." No, this doesn't mean that when Satan tempts you, you should run away with your arms in the air screaming. That's what most people would invision when they hear the word, "flee". But you need to tell him to go away. It will work!

Obsessing over something you should not obsess about
Hey, everyone! For the second real entry (lol) I decided to tell you about something that goes on everywhere- schools, clubs, get-togethers of any kind, and, sadly, even sometimes the church. It's popularity. Different groups of people are joined together and leave other people out. There is a word for it, but I don't know how to spell it... it's a strange word. I know that this is a blog for homeschoolers, and that we don't go to school, but it can happen anywhere else when you are with a group of people. Anyways: It goes on at my church and makes me so sad. And it goes on at my co-op, too, and I am the one who is left out. Not, sometimes people don't except who you are, and they just don't talk to you. If this has happened to you, then you will know how it feels. It hurts, doesn't it? It feels horrible to know that you are not wanted. But now, what to do? First you need to ask yourself one important question: Am I at least trying to talk with someone else? No one wants to talk to a person who is always quiet and never talks. I learned that the hard way. I never talked, and I just thought that everyone else was just mean. But then I realized that it was my fault that no one ever talked to me! If you are shy, then you need to face your fear- that's the only way that you will ever be able to come up to people! So I hope that you realize if you are making that mistake. Another thing- don't try to act like someone else. Like Rachsters said, be yourself! If you try to act different, you will end up acting strange in front of everyone, and making a fool of yourself. Act yourself, and most people will like you better than they would if you tried to act different. Another thing- how you treat everyone. No one likes a person who is always unkind to them! But at most schools today, the "popular" people are usually unkind and disobedient. But this wouldn't happen at your church, unless the people there are far from God! Be kind to everyone, and one day you will get your reward. God promised us that in the Bible! Now, one of the most important thing people want to see on you for you to be popular- you clothes!!!!! Rachsters already cleared that up, but I will make a few comments on that. People all of the time are worrying about how they look. And most of the time, it's not modest clothing. God is not pleased when we are dressed immodest, and the Bible also talks about that. And Gos also says, "Do not worry about tomorrow......... what you will eat or drink, or wear. Is not life more important than food or clothes?" And you should also not worry about what people think about you. The Bible says: "What can man do unto me?" I know that everyone is constantly thinking about what other people think about them. But you shouldn't care! If you go around and you just be yourself, and you don't care about what other people think, your life will be better. Not perfect, just better. And you can do better things with your money than spend it on clothes all of the time! My dad once said, "When you see a person walking in with lots of nice clothes on and a lot of nice jewelry, they are either rich, or up to their nose in debt!!" So don't worry about your clothes. When you go to Heaven, God won't say, "Congratulations, you wore great clothes when you are on Earth!" No, God only cares about what is in your heart. You will never get a reward for having good clothes. The Bible says, "Store up your treasures in Heaven." Anyways, back to popularity. when you strive to be popular, you will end up failing. If you don't even try and be yourself, people would like to be around you more than if you were trying. I mean, you should do your best to talk to other people, but you shouldn't worry about clothes. I've learned that lesson... One person at my church who is very popular doesn't wear beautiful clothes all of the time, but just on Sunday... I used to wear the prettiest clothes I had every time I went to church, because I thought that it would make me more popular. But I was still the one that no one talked to. I'm not saying that I'm "popular" now, there are still allot people that never talk to me... there are always going to be people like that in your life. But just don't be hiding in the corner all of the time, that's what I'm trying to say. But don't try to be popular. And remember that God doesn't care what you look like, and that there is no reward for being popular, but one day God will reward you for for all of the good things you have done!
