HEY i know i said that i would continue in 1 Peter BUT God layed this on my heart instead! SO here we go!
1 Timothy 4:12: Don't let anyone think little of you because you are young. Be their ideal; let them follow the way you teach and live; be a pattern for them in your love, your faith and clean thoughts.
Don't let ANYONE look down on you cause your not as old as them! Be the bigger person! Be THEIR ideal (set an example for them). Have you ever heard the saying "actions speak louder than words"? Well apply that here! show them (them being the world) who we are. Live like you are being wached by God, love EVERYONE (yes even that mean guy that teases you and makes you feel like killing some body) . Have STRONG faith and keep yourself clean by practising you faith and pushing youself to do hard things. Just like you need to work out your body to stay healthy, you need to work out your faith to keep it healthy. I know its HARD to live like that. BUT it pays off, so let the older folks who think you can't do things, see you shine your Godly light! be an image of God! Always remember how AMAZING you are at the gift God gave you so get out there and show them up!

Oct. 24, 2009 - Self-control! :D
"Then come together so that Satan will not tempt you
because of your lack of self-control."
Corinthians 7:5
Wow. Our lack of self-control? Ouch.
Do we really lack self-control, and if we do what areas of our lives
do we lack? We all lack some self-control sometimes. When your little
brother does something to annoy you
and you throw a fit calling him a jerk, I'd say that's lacking self-control.
When your team looses you start calling the other team cheaters and such
even though they didn't cheet.
Your just mad you lost and need to get it out, right?
Okay, so maybe you don't need to let it out like that. No calling names.
Counting to 10 helps a lot...seriously....it does.
Just take a second, sit down, breathe, and think about WHY you are frustrated.
Really, if you think about it, most of us lack a LOT of self-control.
How else could you respond to the situation?
Annoying little brother-
"Hey Joe that's really bothering me, could you stop or do it
somewhere else, please?"
You could also consider just moving yourself. Take turns. It doesn't
help you by getting worked up about something that could so easily be fixed.
Another thing you could think about is why does whatever hes doing annoy you?
Lost Game-
Just relax. Thats the key. Stay relaxed. I know I sound like some therapist or something...but it's true!
If you handle things with anger and don't think, things may get worse than
they really need to.
Hurting other people isn't the answer either. If you are frustrated for a
good reason, such as they are hurting you, then talk to a grown up or elder or
go to the person directly and ask them nicely to stop. If things do not
end then it would be a good idea to ask for help from an elder you trust.
And everyone looses sometimes. People see a good sport when you are okay
with the loss and keep working hard to turn it into a win!
There are tons of things that we can get overly obsessed with and thats
something we need to be careful of and watch ourselves on.
In the first part of the verse it says " Come together".
What does that mean? And your reply is, "Well duh! It means come together,
am I right or am I right?"
Well yeah, your right. :) But lets look a little deaper into it, k?
If all of us lack self-control...what will "coming together" do?
Think of it this way-
Satan is this super big buff bad guy who is trying to prevent you
from getting somewhere and break you, mkay?
You trust God. You love God. But you have made some mistakes. Doesn't
sound like it will be too easy for you, now does it?
Now think of it this way-
Satan- big buff guy
You and a TON of other people- who are all followers of Christ! :D
It sounds like you got a lot better chance, doesn't it? Plus you all have
this SUPER AWESOME God to lead you!!
So when it says to come together it meens encourage, love, give advice,
take advice to the others around you. Sometimes it could be a little more
general. God calls us to come together to fight all the evil that is put
before us. For a little more on the subject pick up your bible and look
up the following verses (feel free to do some of your own research)-
2 Peter 1:5-7
Galations 5:22-23
Please right down any thoughts that you have had along this read, or even
later on in the day! Also, we would love to see any verses that you might
have found while doing some studies. :)

But be HOLY NOW in everything you do just as the Lord is holy who has invited you to be his child. he himself said you must be holy for i am holy.
Ok the other day we talked genarally! Today i want to talk about the media. I think this is one way that santen controlls your mind. SO here we go!!
1. MUSIC!
Music is a powerful POWERFUL thing! It can change you, your emotions, your way of life! So if you are feeding yourself garbage then that can change you for the worse. And no I'm not talking Hannah Montana, Jones brothers, Demi Lavato...that type of thing. If it is encouraging sex (outside of marrige) Drugs and getting drunk. Then SHUT IT OFF! You need to juge whats ok by Gods rules.
MOVIES! K this is important. you need to check your self. Don't go to movies woth lots of language gore and sexual content! Its not good food for the mind!!!! So please check yourself!
TV! This can be really hard. Because even shows on nick can be full of sexual content that you don't always catch! So be on your gard!!! Don't get addicted to those reality tv shows that suck you in!
COMPUTER! This is were a lot of people get weak. Because it is SO easy to get into bad stuff like porn. So you need to be acountable to some one!

OK! Today we are going to start iiinn 1 Peter 1 14-16!!!! We will be going back to the first verse later. So when you were a little kid you didn't know that if you touch the hot stove you will get burned right? Well you have to llearn not to! You have to trust and OBEY your parents! And if you DO touch it you prollt won't do it again. Same thing here doing evil cause you didn't know any better ! So you need to cut it out! You may ask what you need to cut out! Well you gotta cut out WORLDLY GUNK! Whats worldly gunk? Gossip drugs and other such NONSENCE! You DO NOT need that stuff! If you want to be holy you need to stop gossiping and start telling people GOOD things instead of going along with what your friends are saying about stacy and how uncool her clothes are you need to say what pretty hair and eyes she has! You used that wolrdly gunk to fill a hole that only God fills! If you used MATIRIAL stuff to fill it say: ipods cell phones and 80 doller boots. No that doesn't mean you can't have a cell. Or music or cute clothes, but it does mean you need to get your prioritys straight. Like if the music is trashy and doesn't glorify God or if its lyrics say nasty things STOP FEEDING IT TO YOUSELF! If you are using your cell to spread mean rumors CUT IT! If you are dressing in trashy clothes trow it out and go shopping for some cute modest clothes! Another thing is don't let anything distract you from your time with God! turn OFF your cell! Don't go shopping with your friends if it messes with your God time!
Now that we know what to cut out we need to let that light shine! Let it show that your turning your life around!
Ok I would like to go just a bit ferther into these couple verses so next time i post will be the same verses different post! God bless you guys love you lot!

Hey! I'm so sorry about not having a post. I have been stressed and stuff so i don't have scripure refrences for this but im just going to say a little somehting about modesty!
Ok! sso you all really want to be stylish and were cute stuff right!? I mean i know i want to look cute! But its kind of hard to find cute modest clothes. so here are some tricks to wearing modest stuff
go shopping with some one who will not allow you to buy trashy stuff! Its always good to have some one that will keep you grounded.
read up in you bible about what god says about your body being your temple (i will get some for you when i can!)
I always remember what you dress like and think like shows were your heart is!

One day you wil shine bright as the stars with your inward beauty!
And I was thinking, yeah your outward beauty is important, because no one wants to to look bad, but whats REALLY important is your inward beauty. Now think about it, would you rather have a good outward look, with a sassy inward beauty? Or would you rather have a plain outward beauty, and a beautiful, mature, and godly inward beauty? I would rather have the second one! And don't think you can't be beautiful on the outside, because you still can! But God sees the inward beauty, the one he wants to shine!

Today i'm going to talk about living out Christ in your RELASIONSHIPS. I know it's hard to be around friends when they aren't behaving like they should! I wish I could say it gets better but it doesn't! :( I know how it can make you feel uncomfortable! And it should! But it's really hard to stand up for yourself! When some one you hang out with is being perverted or gossiping !!! When this happens you need to say something or just walk away if you can't say anything!!! Say: hey that isn't funny or cool! Yes i know it sounds lame BUT it counts later! I have had to call my mom to come pick me up! I mean do you really wanna be around that? I also know the not having friends deal! So hand in there girly! I'm a pastors kid! You think that isn't tough? I have been called a saint and a Jesus nerd. Want to know what I said? Thank you! You need to respect yourself ! By thinking about if they will be true! I know it seems like they are perfect, have all the friends and get all the guys BUT the bible says: Notie among you dear brothers, that few of you who follow Christ have big names, power or welth. Instead God has deliberatly chosen to use the ideas that the world considers foolish and of little worth to shame those people considered by the world wise and great. (1 Cor. 26-27) Well then! I think it explains itself huh? The same way with guys! You need to think about if they will be true! The bible also says : And you husbands show the same kind of love to your wives as Christ showed the church when he died for her. Is he loving you like that? I mean I know that ya ain't married but apply it to your boyfriend! So respect yourself and god! Love you guys!

Hello All, and welcome!!
This is the Godly Girls club also known as the G.G.C.
I will let you know what this blog is all about but first I will tell you a little bit about myself.
My name is Elizabeth. I am 14 years old and I am on fire for God!!
I have a passion for teen girls and the worlds influence on the girls in our modern times.
I love to hang out but I'm not too much of a talker although you may think I sounds pretty out going here.
I have only brothers so it's no supprise that I am a Tom Boy. I do have plenty of girly habbits though. Some of thoughs are I enjoy to bead, paint my nails, and go out to Coffee with girls from church.
So here I am with this blog.
What am I going to do with it?
Well like I said I have a passion for encouraging, leading, helping, loving, young ladies or as now days calls us- Teens or Pre-Teens. :)
Here on this blog I will write about ways to take care of your body, inside and out.
How to build self-confidence, and how to tell others about it all too!!
I will warn you though, some of my subjects maybe contain some things that might make you a little uncomfortable.
Those include-
.Sex
. Perriods
. and (of course) boys
If you are uncomfortable with these thing look for any warning that I will give at the begining of my entrys.
I do not want you to see something that you are not ready for so if you do not know then please ask your parents before you read, thanks!
I also have some rules that you will need to follow just for everyones safety, but I don't think they'll be too hard to follow.
THE RULES-
1. NO bad language! This is supposed to be a clean and safe enviroment. Useing bad language does not help anything.
2. If you are talking about sex, perriods, boys, or anything similar to those please be sure not to go too far. Some things are just left not said. Thanks.
3. No bad images.
4. No name calling or saying rude or hurtfull things to anyone. This blog is made for encouragement.
If you hurt someone, on purpose or not, please appologize.
I may think of more rules as time goes on but for now this is all I have for you.
I am sure that you kind of get the idea. :)
If you break a rule I will give you two warnings. The third one I will ask you to leave. I do NOT want to have to do this so please, follow the rules. Thanks!! :)
Also if you find that I have broken the rules please send me a message to the username- Rachsters.
How Do I Join The Club?-
If you would like to join, just ask! :)
You can send me a message prefferably. I will reply with anything that you might need to know. k?
You can then send me messages with any entries that you woud like me to post.
I'm not going to hand out the password cause that can just get a little crazy. So we'll keep it to you just sending me stuff, k? I will post it with your name written under it so that everyone knows who wrote it.
Also if you are a member I will post your name and photo on the side of the blog.
You can choose the photo (See the rules) but I ask that you use your username for your club name.
If you do not pick a photo, I will.
