Sep. 5, 2009 - Hello and Welcome!
This was a different blog before but I am changing the theme and starting anew! So please be sure to read the following and stay in touch. Thanks! :)
.............................................................................................
Hello All, and welcome!!
This is the Godly Girls club also known as the G.G.C.
I will let you know what this blog is all about but first I will tell you a little bit about myself.
My name is Elizabeth. I am 14 years old and I am on fire for God!!
I have a passion for teen girls and the worlds influence on the girls in our modern times.
I love to hang out but I'm not too much of a talker although you may think I sounds pretty out going here.
I have only brothers so it's no supprise that I am a Tom Boy. I do have plenty of girly habbits though. Some of thoughs are I enjoy to bead, paint my nails, and go out to Coffee with girls from church.
So here I am with this blog.
What am I going to do with it?
Well like I said I have a passion for encouraging, leading, helping, loving, young ladies or as now days calls us- Teens or Pre-Teens. :)
Here on this blog I will write about ways to take care of your body, inside and out.
How to build self-confidence, and how to tell others about it all too!!
I will warn you though, some of my subjects maybe contain some things that might make you a little uncomfortable.
Those include-
.Sex
. Perriods
. and (of course) boys
If you are uncomfortable with these thing look for any warning that I will give at the begining of my entrys.
I do not want you to see something that you are not ready for so if you do not know then please ask your parents before you read, thanks!
I also have some rules that you will need to follow just for everyones safety, but I don't think they'll be too hard to follow.
THE RULES-
1. NO bad language! This is supposed to be a clean and safe enviroment. Useing bad language does not help anything.
2. If you are talking about sex, perriods, boys, or anything similar to those please be sure not to go too far. Some things are just left not said. Thanks.
3. No bad images.
4. No name calling or saying rude or hurtfull things to anyone. This blog is made for encouragement.
If you hurt someone, on purpose or not, please appologize.
I may think of more rules as time goes on but for now this is all I have for you.
I am sure that you kind of get the idea. :)
If you break a rule I will give you two warnings. The third one I will ask you to leave. I do NOT want to have to do this so please, follow the rules. Thanks!! :)
Also if you find that I have broken the rules please send me a message to the username- Rachsters.
How Do I Join The Club?-
If you would like to join, just ask! :)
You can send me a message prefferably. I will reply with anything that you might need to know. k?
You can then send me messages with any entries that you woud like me to post.
I'm not going to hand out the password cause that can just get a little crazy. So we'll keep it to you just sending me stuff, k? I will post it with your name written under it so that everyone knows who wrote it.
Also if you are a member I will post your name and photo on the side of the blog.
You can choose the photo (See the rules) but I ask that you use your username for your club name.
If you do not pick a photo, I will.
So that is everything for now! :D
I hope you enjoy yourself. Please feel free to add me as a friend. I am open to anyone!
Thanks so much!!
God Bless!
~Elizabeth

Jul. 31, 2009 - Apologies
Hello all my dear friends on HSB.
I am sorry I have not written and been on like I used to.
I will admit I had kinda given up on this blog. I haven't gotten a whole lot of comments like I do on my other blogs and I do not have many friends. But I did not think that that is not what makes a good blog.
I do not need to be popular or have more comments than all the other kids on the block. (if you get what I'm saying)
So I am sorry I have not stayed in touch with all of you. I will try and be on more often and keep in touch with all of you. I will be trying to get the word out a little more since otherwise I really am not doing anything...and I would like people to read what I have.
So if you like this blog and wouldn't mind letting other people know about it, please do.
I thank you all very much! I hope you are all well and I will be talking to you again soon.
Many Blessings!

Jun. 23, 2009 - What is this world coming to?
Hello my dear friend!
Well first I would like to share this quote with you...I thought it was very interesting and SO true and is said by the main actor who plays in a movie I'm going to talk about-
QUOTE: "Sometimes I feel I'm living a meaningless life, and I get frightened. ... I don't handle fame well. Most actors on most days don't think they're worthy. I have no idea where this insecurity comes from, but it's a God-sized hole. If I knew, I'd fill it, and I'd be on my way. ... Actors live dependent on being validated by other people's opinions. ... The good actors are all screwed up. They're all in pain. It's a profession of bottom-feeders and heartbroken people." —23-year-old Shia LaBeouf (Transfomers: Revenge of the Fallen, Eagle Eye, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) [parade.com, 6/14/09]
Well I have found something new to write about although a lot of it will be already written by someone else.
(note-I might give off spoilers but I'll try not as much as possible...just thought I would warn you.)
I have decided to write about movies although one in particular is on my mind and has brough this entry idea up. And that movie is Transformers 2. Maybe some of you have not heard of it so if you have not I'll let you read this from a website call Pluggedinonnline.com-
When last we saw Megatron—the evil head honcho of a race of sentient machines dubbed the Decepticons—he was rusting away at the bottom of the ocean, tethered by high-tech chains, surrounded by a pack of guardian submarines and counting the days until his obsolescence.
Too bad the guy had some time left on his extended warranty.
Turns out, Megatron and the Decepticons, despite having had their dastardly plans foiled in the first Transformers film, aren't destined for the scrap heap. In fact, they're following an even more dastardly plan ("Let's extinguish the sun!"), dreamt up by an even more dastardly leader (we know he's evil because even his best friends call him "The Fallen"), which—once it reaches its climax—will leave the Decepticons free to gloat over the frozen wasteland they've created.
Cue guttural, WD-40-drenched laughter.
But humanity isn't ready to choke on the Decepticons' exhaust just yet. After all, we've got the valiant, GM-branded Autobots in our corner—backed by a crack team of soldiers who boast more boom sticks than the 1927 Yankees. We've got truth, justice and fair play on our side. And we've got Sam Witwicky, a goofy kid with an outrageously attractive girlfriend, an outlandishly cool car and Autobot leader Optimus Prime on speed dial.
But wait, what's this? Sam's leaving his car at home (an Autobot disguised as a Chevy Camaro) because it can't come to college with him? He's telling Optimus Prime to leave him alone? Didn't Sam watch the first movie? Doesn't he remember how handy Autobots are in a pinch?
Those ill-fated choices set the stage for an avalanche of foreboding plot points. Sam touches a mysterious, metallic shard that fills his brain with a mind-scrambling code! Home appliances come to life with malignant intent! A new American leader shuts down the Autobots' support team! A short-sighted bureaucrat threatens to kick the Autobots off the planet! Sam gets attacked by a sultry mechanical undergrad with a 6-foot-long tongue! GM goes into bankruptcy! Decepticons start taking out huge, sub-prime loans!
Things look bleak for humanity. It's all up to Sam now. Too bad he didn't pay more attention in shop class.
So there is your little update.
I have read the review on this movie and from what I have read...it almost doesn't sound worth to see. I thought the first one had enough unneed and horrible and desturbing things in it...but this one...is worse.
It has plenty of language, hardly any (but it's still there) dugs/alcohol, violence, and TONS of sexual stuff in it.
Why can people not make a decent and enjoyable movie these days? Can I not watch a movie that is super cool and not have any bad stuff in it?
Why do we have to put so much junk in our movie...and not even just that...our magazines, or books, our tv, any kind of media.
Even movies like the Dark Knite which had very little sexual stuff in it still...was just ...well...dark.
I wish and pray that someday we can just enjoy a movie. We can experience the magic, the action, the romance, the comedy, without a whole bunch of junk to ruin and destroy our hearts and minds. I know it sounds cheesy but the song/saying (I'm not sure which it is or if it is both) about being careful 'little ears what you hear' or being careful 'little eyes what you see' or be careful 'little mind what you think'. You may think that is a little kid thing...and in a way it is...but it has great meaning. We need to be careful of what we hear or what we see or what we think or what is put in out minds.
So today I encourage you to first read up on movies...carefuly...before watching them. Especialy pg 13 and R movies. You most likely will not avoid seeing or hearing things that you do not need to hear or see but it will help. I pray that God will guard your hear and mind from the evil things that are put in our world as temptations...and the same for me. It is all very scarey...and frightening.
I hope you have a great day!
God Bless,
GodlyGirls
P.S. Here is the final review on the movie. It is pretty interesting...considering what we just talked about.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen comes with no pretensions of greatness. It's not written to make you think, not crafted to make you cry. Its sole intent is to get moviegoers to fork over their 10 bucks and sit still for two-and-a-half hours.
That said, I was surprised at how cold this movie left me.
The film's emotional moments felt forced, and its themes of sacrifice insincere. While some films use CGI to set up a story, Transformers reverses the process: It uses a half-hearted story as an excuse to string together some cool special effects.
But a much bigger issue than the film's cinematic failure, for our purposes, is it's level of crassness and sexual content. This is a movie based on children's' playthings, for Pete's sake. I can't imagine that many in the audience really came to see robot testicles or small-dog erotica. And then there's Megan Fox's ongoing parade in her barely there outfits, not to mention a sexed-up co-ed who turns out to be, bizarrely, something else entirely.
One of the folks with whom I saw this movie left the theater feeling insulted. "This is what they think I want to see?!" he said. "This is what they think I'm interested in?"
Film critic Marshall Fine put it this way: "This is what we've come to: movies based on cartoons that were marketing tools for toys." He also noted, "It's hard to exaggerate what a depressing mess of a film this misbegotten monstrosity is. More depressing still, it will attract lemming-like multitudes to multiplexes this weekend, further convincing [director Michael] Bay of his own genius."
Yeah, that feels about right.

Apr. 7, 2009 - When you think of Easter
Hey Everyone!
Just thought I would just remind ya all about what Easter is all about!
I was just thinking that when I hear Easter my first thoughts are of baby blues and pink and Easter eggs and the bunnies! lol But thats not was it's really about and that should not be our first thoughts.
This year every time you hear 'Easter' think about what God has done for you. Think of the sacrifice he made for YOU and all the people around you. And how Jesus rose from the dead.
That is so amazing! God is SO AMAZING! So this Easter REALLY think about what God has done for you.
Even if you take some time to read the bible and go over the end of every gospel and remember the verse that pretty much everyone knows:
'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and ONLY son so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.'
-John 3:16
God LOVES you enough to send his Son..his ONLY SON...
God bless and have a wonderful Easter!

Mar. 23, 2009 - Raise Your Hands and PRAISE
Hey ya al!!
Sorry I haven't posted in so long. I've been kinda busy and going through so tuff times.
If ya could pray for me that would be great!
Do you have any prayer requests?
So last night I went to a worship concert and I was thinking....about raising your hands.
I've had a hard time with raising my hands. Part of the reason is I'm worried about people starring at me and thinking I'm some weirdo or something. Well I've thought about it and tried my best to raise my hands as much as possible because I've learned that it's not about what people think.
It's taken time for me to get that worked in but let me tell ya....IT"S WORTH IT!
When I raise my hands and I'm shouting at the top of my lungs singing to God and to God alone.
Worshiping him and giving him all of myself. So next time you don't raise you hands...think about why?
It's it because you worried about other people and what they think?
Or because you think that your life is so messed up that it's just not worth it?
My life is pretty messed up right now...but God can help me through it. He is mine and your strength when things are hard or even when things aren't hard.
So next time you feel lead to...RAISE YOUR HANDS IN PRAISE!
God Bless,
~Godly Girls

Feb. 14, 2009 - Lusting and What is our response?
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgie us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Proverbs 6:25
Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes.
Proverbs 6:29
So is he who sleeps wthe another man's wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished.
Proverbs 6:32
But a man who commits adultrey lacks judgement; who ever does so destroys himself.
Dear Friend,
Last night God layed it on my heart to tell you of these things.
I have talked about things that are similar to the subject but more for girls.
On the TV there are commercials and shows that constantly offer women. Women offer themselves.
And men are atracted to that afer as many of us are to things that are said o be free, but there come with a price. The price is that the rest f our lives we will want more... slowly being pulled into it more and more and more. We will feel a shame, something deep down saying,"Hey!! Whats going on? I haven't seen God in here a while...is there something you need to change?"
Other prices are not affecting us so much, but others. The people who look up to you such as children who are younger or even those who are older. They see that what you are doing is okay and then do the very thing that you are doing...that is bad! (if what you are doing is bad)
Always be sure that what you are doing is going to be a good example and a Godly one to others especialy the next generation. If we can keep things from getting worse...why not?
Women for so long hae been tought that they are not pretty untill they reach every expectation. But the excpectations are unreachable. They hurt you and over time...may kill you. They change who you really are and not only hurt your outside but also your heart and mind and your veiw then of the world and other women and men around you. Do not listen to the lies of women and men around you.
Men say that you are a women and are nothing more than an object....WRONG!!
You are Gods WONDERFUL creation and nothing can change that. You are equal to man. You have different abilities and together you even things out with eachothers weeknesses and strengths.
God's love is so much greater and such a wonderful thing to have...I would want that any day over all the expectations of this world. I would want to know that someone loves me instead of people constantly cutting me down. Telling me lies.
Today young men are tempted every day and have to make the choice to walk off or choose to invest their time in things that the bible cleary states is wrong. Men, hide your hearts and minds and your hands and feet from the evil of this world.
Yes you will tempted....I can't think of anyone who will not be tempted in their intire life!!!....but you must choose what to do with that tempation. That choice will make a difference in your life.
If you have made the wrong choice...if you have sinned and are hurting. Come to God.
I know that for a while I was having a hard time with some stuff but reading the bible and praying and talking to my parents really helps!
These days hardly any teens talk to their parents about their problems. Go to them and talk about it, PLEASE! They have gone through the same stuff you are going through. They may have advice or encouraging words. And if not ask them to pray for you!
You don't have to say why...just say pray! I'll pray for you. If you would like me to pray for you. Please send me a message and I'll add you to a list. I will pray for you every day!
Take your hardships to God and let them go! God is the best healer and forgiver there is and will ever be!
God Loves you. I love you. Your friends love you. Your parents love you.
Happy Valentines Day!
Hope you have a wonderful time with friends and family celebrating love.
God Bless,
~Godly Girls

Dec. 22, 2008 - Christmas Time Has Come
Merry Christmas everyone!!
Hope you all are having a good time.
I thought I would post these just because I thought you all would be intersted.
I was VERY interested in it and I really thought it was great!
So here is one thing-
Twas the Night before Christmas
He lived all alone
In a one bedroom house made of
Plaster and Stone
I had come down the Chimney
With presents to give.
And to see just who
In this home did live.
I looked all about
A strange sight I did see.
No tinsel, No presents,
Not even a tree.
No stocking by the mantle,
Just boots filled with sand.
On the wall hung pictures
Of far distant lands.
With medals and badges,
Awards of all kinds,
A sober thought
Came through my mind.
For this house was different,
It was dark and dreary,
I found the home of a soldier,
Once I could see clearly.
The soldier lay sleeping,
Silent, alone,
Curled up on the floor
In this one bedroom home.
The face was so gentle,
The room in such disorder,
Not how I pictured
A United States Soldier.
Was this the hero
Of whom I'd just read?
Curled up on a Poncho,
The floor for a bed?
I realized the families
That I saw this night,
Owed their lives to these soldiers
Who were willing to fight.
Soon round the world,
The children would play,
And grownup would celebrate
A bright Christmas Day.
They all enjoyed freedom
each month of the year,
Because of the soldiers,
Like the one lying here.
I couldn't help wonder
How many lay alone,
On a cold Christmas Eve
In a land far from home.
The very thought
Brought a tear to my eye,
I dropped to my knees
And started to Cry.
The soldier awakened
And I heard a rough voice,
"Santa don't cry,
This life is my choice."
The solider rolled over
And drifted to sleep,
I couldn't control it,
I continued to weep.
I kept watch for hours,
So silent and still
And we both shivered
From the cold nights chill.
I didn't want to leave
On that cold, dark, night,
This guardian of Honor
So willing to fight.
The solider rolled over,
With a voice soft and pure,
Whispered, "Carry on Santa,
It's Christmas Day, All is secure."
One look at my watch,
And I knew he was right.
"Merry Christmas my friend,
And to all a good night."
While a Lance Corporal serving as Battalion Counter Sniper at the Marine Barracks 8th & I, Washington, DC, under Commandant P.X. Kelly and Battalion Commander D.J. Myers [in 1986], James M. Schmidt wrote this poem to hang on the door of the Gym in the BEQ. When Colonel Myers came upon it, he read it and immediately had copies sent to each department at the Barracks and promptly dismissed the entire Battalion early for Christmas leave. The poem was placed that day in the Marine Corps Gazette, distributed worldwide and later submitted to Leatherneck Magazine.

Oct. 3, 2008 - Song Lyrics
Here are some song lyrics by Barlow Girl and a newer girl named Brooke Berrettsmith (she's awesome).
I really like the words to these songs so I thought I would share them.
So here they are!
Father by Brooke-
I know You see when You look at me
A precious child
Who wants to be just like You
Walk in Your footsteps
You watched over me when I was growing
Now that I'm older I can say
Thank you for saving my soul
Oh Father
I thank you for giving me hope
Oh Father
I promise my love to You
And I will follow You always
My Father
I must confess sometimes it's easy
To lose my focus
You can see when I start to forget
So gently remind me
You're watching over me 'cause I'm still growing
And You're still showing me grace
I never could have imagined
How wonderful life could be with You
And now my heart belongs to You
I am Yours
I am Yours
Farewell by Brooke-
Vs 1:
Hotel stationary
Pour your heart out
Your life, your story
Write it down
You gotta write it down
Tear-stained pages
Going up in flames
When the smoke hits the ceiling
Will the memories fade?
Chorus:
Say farewell to
All of your mistakes
Forgive yourself
It’s a brand new day
Vs 2:
Night turns to morning
You wonder why nothings changed
Do you really want forgiveness?
Or just the pain to go away?
Put pen to paper
This time for a different aim
The future is redemption
Your story of escape
Chorus:
Say farewell to
All of your mistakes
Forgive yourself
It’s a brand new day
Bridge:
Salvation is waiting for you
Your heavy heart can be carried for you
Mirrow by Barlow Girl-
Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Have I got it?
'Cause Mirror you've always told me who I am
I'm finding it's not easy to be perfect
So sorry you won't define me
Sorry you don't own me
Who are you to tell me
That I'm less than what I should be?
Who are you? Who are you?
I don't need to listen
To the list of things I should do
I won't try, I won't try
Mirror I am seeing a new reflection
I'm looking into the eyes of He who made me
And to Him I have beauty beyond compare
I know He defines me
You don't define me, you don't define me
Average Girl by Barlow Girl-
So what I'm not your average girl
I don't meet the standards of this world
Chasing after boys is not my thing
See I'm waiting for a wedding ring
No more dating
I'm just waiting
Like sleeping beauty
My prince will come for me
No more dating I'm just waiting
'Cause God is writing my love story
Boys are bad that's certainly not true
'Cause God's preparing one for you
If you get tired waiting till he comes
Gods arms are the perfect place to run
Sleep that's the only thing
For me 'cause when I sleep Gods
Preparing one for me
These are songs that speek to me. Even though I just heard Brooke for the first time last night!
Both BarlowGirl and Brooke Berretsmith are amazing and inspiring!!
If you get the change kinda look into Brooke. She is a really awesome new artsist. If you are wondering..she is christian. lol
Anyway...just thought I would share those with you.
REMEMBER- YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL...NO MATTER WHAT THIS WORLD SAYS...
BE MODEST
BE A GOD FOLLOWER IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE!
Have an awesome day!
God Bless,
GodlyGirls

Sep. 18, 2008 - Screaming 4 Food!
Exodus 20:6
"...Showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me..."
I assume that you know what I am going gto talk about but if not, don't worry!, you'll soon find out so enough.
First I will tell you why I thought I would write this entry!
A couple days ago at about 9:00 at night out time my little brother cam down stairs and qwickly explained why he was so upset.
He said that earlier when we got a peice of bread he took his upstairs to eat. But when my mom called him back down he set the bread down soon forgetting about it.
When he went up for bed he found it all hard and icky...so he had to throw it away. As he did he thought about all the little kids around the world "screaming 4 food" whicle we stuffed our mouth or threw away edible food.
Thinking about this I thought it would be a good subject for us to talk about.
My brother was VERRY right! Kids and Adults are starving! People are working ahrd to make a difference and you know what???...we coule make a difference too verry easlily!
There are lots of placed that take donations at different times. You could do simple things like not buying that really good candy at the store and maybe buying some bread and donating it.
You could make little food bag/basket things and hand them to people on the side of the road.
I know you all are creative so use that creativness for helping people!...aka pleasing God.
Though that doesn't meen you have to use this you can do other things too...=D
Anyway...so just think about ways you could help the starving. Think about how much food you get...THREE MEALS A DAY!..or more.
Well thats all I have to say about that!
One more thing to say is to pray for the people being hit by the hurricane.
Its kinda messy. So be sure to keep them in your prayers.
Well hope you all have a wonderful day!
God Bless!

Aug. 4, 2008 - a long awaited entry...~*Friends*~
Hi there!
I apoligize for not writting in so long. We have been busy...which you all probably understand.
It is Summer...right?! =)
Well in the summer we all love to hang out with our friends and such.
Well I was I thinking...since we haven't written an entry in so long why not write one about something I've been strougling with and something that I can relate to.
So I'm going to write about "Friends".
I'll be talking about how precious they are to us and how hard it is when they leave.
I know I love having friends!!...You can tell them secrets...spend the night at their house....tell scary stories....maybe with you guys friends you could go camping with your familys....go roll in the dirt....fish...draw....read a book together....anything that you both enjoy to do.
I have had some hard times with friends....I wont deny it....but my mom always says that you can learn from it. Theres prety much always if you think about it....something to learn.
Anyway...
So
What do you like about friends?
God gave us friends for many reasons. One is to give us someone to have besides family...to love...to care for....to cry with....to give hugs....to screem at....to giggle with....and so on.
I'm gonna give some verses and you all post some comments and maybe start a conversation.
Lets talk about this and be friends. =D
Here are the verses:
1John 1:6-7
If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by truth.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us from all sin.
luv ya girls!!

Jun. 14, 2008 - God's Calling
Reicently we got asked how you know when God is calling you.
So "How do you?"
God already has a calling for all of us to follow him.
We also kinda have individual callings. All of us have our own unique talent...God may "CALL" us to use
that talent ,or whatever, to witness to people.
It is a hard thing to know FOR SURE that God is calling you....and I'm having a hard time with talking about it.
The best thing you can do is "prepare your feild"....do you know what that means?
It means that you should prepare yourself for when God comes back...also it can be used as preparing yourself for God's calling.
You dont want to not know anything about the bible or little things like maybe languages or laws or something like that, and have to go to another country, state, or even NEXT DOOR!
If you feal like you are getting a calling....dont just jump right into it.....kinda....take some time and pray about it. Make sure its what God wants you to do....and talking to your parents would be good idea too.
You can even ask your friends and family to pray with you.
I do not have really anything to say for it is a hard subject....for me anyway.
If you have some thoughts about it or something like that "PLEASE POST A COMMENT" and we will try and get back to you ASAP.
I am going to put some verses below for you to read.
Have an awesome day!
~GodlyGirls~
Psalm 145:18-
The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
Romans 10:12-
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--
the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him.
Ephesians 4:1-
As a prisoner for the Lord,
then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the CALLING you have received.
James4:10-
Huble yourselves before the Lord,
and he will lift you up.
Remember: We want to hear from you! =D If you have a question...ASK IT!
