Nov. 8, 2006 - My Field trip
Yesterday we went to see a hydro-electric dam. We saw the control
room where they keep all the equipment that tells them if anything is
going wrong with the dam. They told us that there are alot of
eels in the river and they catch them so they don't get hurt by the
power station. They caught 6,000 eels in 2 years.
We drove up a bumpy road to the top of a hill and saw the dam. It
was so big and it looked like you could jump off it into the
river. The waterfall was about 12'. There was lots of
places that looked like they would be fun to slide down into the river
but it would be too dangerous. There was lots of trash near the
dam.
I hope I can go back there again some time because I had a lot of fun.
