Toeless Rooster.

Okay. I was asked to tell the toeless rooster story. so here it is:

My Mama belongs to this backyard chickens on-line web board about chickens. And she reeaaly wanted a breed of rooster that was black and white striped. So she finds one and we drive to where ever this lady lives. We get this rooster and the lady asked if we could take this old rooster she got. She said he came from Georgia and the people who owned him where keeping him and a hen and chick in a motel bathtub. So the ASPCA or somthing (I have no idea who.) told them that they had to give the them away. so some how or another the rooster got to this lady, so my mama said lets see him. so we go into this little itty bitty chicken coop. he was in a little cage that looked to small for him and from frustration and board-ness he pulled all his brest feathers out. AND the fact that he was in that cage AND the fact that his old owners must have left him outside so ALL HIS TOES FROM THE FIRST KNUCKLE had been frostbitten and fallen off. We of corse being the people who we are took him home too. we named him (Meg I am SO sure you will love this) Sir John From Sence and Sensibility. The outher Rooster we named Edward (Also From S&S) We have had him for two years now and he lives in the barn, hobbles around. he even has his own outdoor animal heating pad to sit on and when it is like 20 degrees or somthing we bring him in and keep him in a old un finished un used shower. AND there is a hen named Falco who we also call THE BLACK BULLET beacause without fail every morning she hop/flys/runs to the barn and spends all day whith him.

that is my toeless rooster story. my grandparents have gone to florda for six weeks and left their 2 big dogs Maggie and lesial at our house. they sleep in my bedroom so I have my corgi and the german shorthair pincher AND the doberman in my room this is day four with them so far so good....I hope.
